Very pleasing 3 night stay in a clean and spacious room with 2 comfy double beds. There is free wifi and a useful fridge in the room. The staff were helpful and friendly and buffet breakfast was excellent and the children were spoilt for choice. We had to check out early on our last day and a breakfast bag was provided by the hotel. We had a balcony but we could have done with a few more chairs (only 1 in the room) to collapse into after a day in Rome. The hotel is in the university area, busy in the day and quiet at night. 15 min walk from the Termini with children but close to the Metro line and 2 stops from the Termini. Metro is €1.50 pp for each journey but a multi day ticket saves money on multiple trips. The local area felt safe even when returning late at night. We would stay here again

The Hotel Globus is located a ten minute bus ride from Termini in the university district, which has a nice busy feel. The hotel staff are pleasant and very helpful. The room was very clean and a good size. The dining room is clean and modern with a good breakfast service and an optional evening buffet. Buses, trams and the metro are all within easy walking distance and there are plenty of cafes, trattoria and gelatoria in the neighbourhood. There is free WiFi and refreshments in the foyer. This all comes at a very reasonable price. Perfect choice for a city break.

Room Tip: We were on a lower floor at one end of the building so there was some noise - but it was a city brea...

Stayed for 2 days during a meeting at the university. My room was newly renovated, large, good-looking and wellfunctioning. A large balcony to the street. Some traffic noise starting around 6.30 in the morning. No other complains at all.The internet is free and works well. Friendly staff at the reception.

Having read a few mixed reviews I was not sure what to expect but we had a very good stay here, it is good value for money and although not in the centre, it is still close enough to reach all the sights very easily just two stops on the metro from Terminii. Room was very comfortable, clean with robe, slippers great bathroom, big shower, good buffet breakfast and very helpful staff

It's a functional hotel so no fancy stuff.
Room is at a good size. Huge balcony which we love. Overlooking Italian residential blocks which feels good - blending in to the Italian style.
Reception speaks good English.
Can walk to metro. It's in a residential area, at good rate.

Here from 14 to 20 April 2013 with a party. Difficult to fault hotel; having been in 3* Italian hotels before, this was much better than the grading would suggest. Clean, tidy and friendly.

Breakfast buffet and evening buffet were adequate.

Location is in the University area north of City (so further from tourist sights) and within easy walk of Metro line B.

Tram 19 a short step away - direct to Vatican.

Bus 310 stops outside, direct to Termini (the Central Station) and runs regularly.

Room Tip: Rooms to the front might suffer a little from street noise as the hotel fronts a bustling thoroughfa...

We were a group of 2kid ( 10/12y/o) and 4 adults. Booked 2 "family rooms with 2 king beds". Called 2 days ahead to notify them that we arriving late at 11pm. When we arrived they didn't have our rooms. The next day they moved us but not into the rooms we had booked or paid for ahead of time. We were supposed to have WiFi and every day for 5 days we called asking them to fix it and they would reply ( ok I'll reset the server, wait 15min, 30mins 1hours--- basically to put you off) they never ever fixed. The service was horrible!!. The location is terrible. It is in a residential area and 5-10 min walk from the metro and 3-4 stops away from downtown for food or entertainement. What is worse is that on the very last day they shut off our electricity at midnight. When we awoke at 7am we had no lights. We called down and they said " you checked out already if you want electricity come down and get a new card". We asked them what time was check out they replied 12 pm. So then they turned on just the lights and not the outlets so we couldn't blow dry our hair. This was absolutely outrageous. Please please avoid this hotel. I feel awful that I listened to the other reviews and booked my family to stay here. We couldn't wait to leave Rome because of the horrible hotel, its location and service. Best Western should be ashamed to have their name associated with this hotel. I don't believe they have a " family room with 2 king beds" it is false advertising and we did not get the room we paid for!.I would give this hotel a minus (-) star rating if possible

Room Tip: Don't believe that they have the room advertised or WiFi. Don't expect any help from the fro...
