“Excellent location for a quick visit to Rome”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

From this hotel we walked everywhere: 5 mns to Trevi Fountain, 15 mns to the Spanish steps, 25 mns to the Colosseum, 30 mns to the Vatican. Breakfast is plenty although nothing food wise stands out - but the view, which is gorgeous. The rooms we had were very clean, beds were comfortable, looking out onto the central court they were very quiet but they were quite small: the kind where two people have to take turns going around the bed or accessing the closet - no dresser. Also at that price you would expect good TV reception! Pretty bathroom, lots of towels. Bring your bathing suit, there is a spa bath in the hotel which looked appealing after a day of walking - but which I didn't try.

Room Tip: I didn't see the other rooms. Others may have been roomier, but the quiet factor was important.

Dear Client,
thank you very much for your positive review, it makes us very proud. Yes the TV reception was very bad for 2-3 days due to technical failure and we were forced to wait for a new decoder by currier directly from the city of Milan. Now the problem's solved and we guess there will be no further problems for the next 10 years so you can come back any time in the near future. We all look forward to welcoming you soon. Friendly and nice hotel. Located in the center of town, walking distance from the city attractions. The hotel staff was friendly, kind and very welcoming. My hotel Room was not big but very clean and the bathroom was in a reasonable size...
Breakfast is served in a rooftop balcony with a romantic city view.
Bottom line- go for it...

we have spent the weekend (3 nights) at the Barberini hotel in Rome.
The hotel is located in the best location possible - 2 minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain yet in a quite area where you can sleep without any nois from the outside.
The hotel is well preserved & maintained.
Breakfast is served on the roof with a great view to the city center.
The stuff is very polite and assisted on every request from our side.
bottom line - great value for your money

My wife and I spent two nights at the Barberini Hotel in mid February 2013. From the moment we arrived until we parted we felt right at home. Great location, cozy room and impeccable service. Breakfast was perfect: on the top floor, overlooking the city; plenty of good food and helped by the ever smiling Laura. From now on, when in Rome we will stay at the Barberini. .

We had a 4 day stay at the Barberini Hotel in late December. The hotel location was fabulous and the front desk could not have been more helpful with our many questions (and requests for directions). We arrived on an early morning flight to Rome and the hotel arranged for us to have use of a room (as our rooms were not ready) so that we could shower and freshen up before heading out for a day of sightseeing. That set the tone for the rest of our visit. Breakfast on the top floor with a view of Rome were wonderful, with cappuccinos and any other hot beverages made for us each morning.

Dear Customer,
thank you very much for your good review! At the time of your arrival early in the morning there was a room available, not the one held for you, that could be given to you for refreshing up after a long overseas flight, we are glad that it helped you. We look forward to welcoming you soon in the near future, now you know everything of Rome better than a Cicero!
Sincerely, Mauro - Front Office Manager

My husband and I chose this hotel on our first 10-day visit to Rome in April of 2011 after reading so many positive reviews. THEY WERE NOT WRONG! The location is wonderful...you are only a short walk from the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and several charming restaurants and pizzerias. In addition, the taxi stand and tour bus stops are just down the hill.

We wanted a smaller, boutique hotel and were delighted with our room; it was very clean, well-appointed, and the bathroom was quite large by European standards. Doors opened onto a small balcony and let in the crisp evening air. Breakfast on the roof was also a nice touch.

The front desk staff was polite and always helpful with directions or suggestions. We left the hotel for two nights to visit Positano and felt very safe leaving most of our clothing, a computer and lots of souvenirs behind in our room.

Review sites like this one are very helpful when choosing a hotel in another country. It would be unfair to let the opinions of those who may not understand hotel booking rules or the etiquette of international travel (without taking any personal responsibility) stand without speaking up about our contrasting excellent experience.

We are returning to Rome in 2014, bringing along another couple this time. We will gladly choose this hotel again!

Dear Customer,
thank you for your positive reviews, we really appreciate the way you feature our hotel. We respect the opinions of everybody, one can like our hotel or can not, anyways we try our best to inform our customer before confirmation by giving all info that may help them to choose the right and fit hotel also because we like to think that everyone might have the opportunity to enjoy our city even if not staying at Barberini's; during their stay we give our best attention because ...well, we are italian ! we are friendly and enjoy speaking native languages with folk from everywhere. It enrich us a lot ! Someone may not like us so reviews can be more or less negative but we as hotel have the opportunity to reply.
Dear customer thank you again and come back soon, we are glad to be part of your excellent experience !
Kind regards - Mauro Laconi Reservations Manager
