We were a group of 7 traveling together, including my elderly grandmother and non-Italian and English speaking family members, so we can be a challenge for hotel staff. Priscilla Hotel was arranged for us by a travel agent and while it wasn't a luxury hotel, it was quite lovely and a great value for the price. The rooms are a little dated and could use a fresh coat of paint, but everything was neat and clean. The staff, from front-desk to the bartender, were WONDERFUL!! They were patient, kind, understanding, and, most importantly, accommodating. They did everything they could to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable.

I would be amiss if I didn't mention the restaurant. Each of the 7 of us ordered a different dish, and everything was absolutely delicious. Quite possibly some of the best food I've had. Interesting combinations of flavors and cooked to perfection. We're a hard to please bunch, but everyone at our table was very happy. And the waiter/bartender was very nice and joked with us making us feel as if we were in our own home. This is especially important because we had arrived just about 10 minutes before their closing time, and frequently restaurants won't seat such a large party so late or will rush them through the meal. Not here. We were given first-rate service.

Do yourself a favour and don't even consider this hotel. It was dirty and very dated, the walls where filthy, I would'nt know what century the linen was from. I was travelling with my daughters and on arrival we had to make our way up about 10 steps with suitcases which the not so delightful staff member watched us do, they then asked for all our passports and said we could come back in 5 minutes to get them, he then got angry when we declined to leave them. The room was so unkept there is no safe the walls and carpets where dirty. This place is a disgrace. Rome is a beautiful city but this place definitely ruined it for us...

Room Tip: Avoid this hotel

Pretty basic but good sized rooms and bathroom. Pretty good location. Directly over the road there is a little hole in the wall which turned out to be a cozy little pub. Turned out to have heaps of atmosphere and was a great place to have a beer. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place for a place to stay for a couple or a few nights.

The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. BUT our room was reeeeeeally noisy. And the air con was preset to a really high temperature which was uncomfortable :( the windows weren't very thick so we heard a lot of the street noise (2 ambulances a night, a bus every half hour) which didn't make for a good sleep unfortunately. But the hotel was very well priced and clean and otherwise comfortable.

Stayed here a few weeks ago, was my second time. It is a bit out of the way, but needed a hotel in Rome for only one night.

Hotel is very clean and has everything you need. For the price, it is excellent value for money. If I am in Rome again, I will be staying there.
