A friend recommended this hotel due to the good price relative to the location. So I checked our their site, and did indeed find a good special offer advertised, however when I contacted the hotel to inquire about the price, the one quoted was 2.3 times higher than the special offer. When I questioned this, "we must correct the error of before, special offer valid only 07/01 to 10/02/07". However site clearly and currently states "Special Offer From 07 th January 2007 to 31st january 2007" Watch out!

My wife and I stayed at Hiberia for a week in early October. Hotel was pleasant, clean and in a great location. The problem is the lack of customer service.

We had booked through Venere.com and given a 4% discount on the rates. At check-out, we were billed the full amount without the discount, and I did not notice this until arriving home in Seattle. I emailed the hotel about the problem asking for a refund on my Visa. I was told a credit was not possible, or at best would take "a very long time". I continued to insist on a credit to my Visa, and after a few angry responses from Danilo Petrucci at Hiberia, believed a credit would be coming. Two months later, no credit. Danilo has not responded to my latest emails.

Hiberia would be a worthy choice in Rome if they were committed to a reasonable level of customer service.

Excellent location, you can walk easily to Colleseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps. Train station isn't too far away, plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful and there was always someone at the front desk. The room, although clean & tidy, was very small for us (family of 4) however most of the time we were out exploring. A little bit noisy at night time but close the windows and it's fairly quiet. If we ever go back to Rome which I hope we will, I'd be happy to stay there.

This was a lovely hotel in an amazing city. The people at reception had average English and between this and my pathetic Italian we got on fine! The reception is nice with a tiny bar at the back. The elevator shaft is scary to say the least! It looks like its been there since the age of Gladiators but it works ok! However the rooms are extremely clean with a television (all Italian channels) and mini-bar and are very spacious.

The bathroom was lovely with a fantastic power-shower - Just perfect after a day's shopping or sightseeing in the Eternal City! There are Versace tiles all over and the room had marble floors.Whether these are real or fake-it doesn't matter-they give a very exclusive impression.

The breakfast did leave it down.It was in a horrible dining room next door and it really wasn't great. It was included in the price so better have something small to eat perhaps a croissant and coffee just to be satisfied.

It is 5 minutes from the trevi Fountain and about 10 minutes from the Vittorio Emmanuelle and 15 from the Collesseum. Its a really central location. We spent 6 days there and would have no hesitation in returning.

Spent 2 nights in this hotel for a weekend break in rome. loved it!! We had a triple room which was plenty big,and nicely decorated. This hotel is close to everything, only around the corner from the trevi fountain and a short walk to all the major sights. The staff were great, always up for a chat and even recovering my lost wallet at 3am on a saturday night!! Clean and convienient....I'd definitely reccomend a stay!

For the price we paid, which was about 230 Euro per night, I think we should have shopped more and considered a hotel with one more star. They write beautifully and you get the impression that the attention is wonderful. When you get there, the attention is not so great, and they are a bit indifferent.

We told them in the letters as we were booking that it was our honeymoon. Do you think that at least we could have gotten a "congratulations". It was not even acknowledged. The services that they researched for us came with a big price tag. We got a significantly better deal renting a car ourselves at the Termini station, rather than the "best price" that they offered us.

Pros: Clean room, good location, Definitely take the 50 Euro transportation that they offer from the airport, sufficiently nice for traveling with light luggage

Cons: Don't expect any extra attention, or assistance for touring ideas.
