we stayed at the Hotel Hiberia for 2 nights before joining a cruise. Location was good, beside the Via Nazionale (for shopping) and within easy reach of the Vatican by foot. Taxi to Termini Station cost 10 euro with our luggage but there were buses outside the hotel to Termini.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view

My husband and I visited Rome at the end of September for 5 days, as part of my 60th birthday celebrations and stayed at the Hiberia Hotel. It is situated in an ideal position, extremely close to so many of the famous sights. We were able to walk to the majority of the sights but we did travel on the hop on and off bus - an ideal way of seeing the city. We also used the local bus service to visit the Vatican, which was an easy and cheap way to travel. Our room was quite spacious and very comfortable and we were very impressed by the free safety deposit box and the complimentary slippers was quite a nice touch. The room was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was quite enjoyable, with enough choice of food to suit everyone.
The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful with advice on how to get to various places. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone who was planning a visit to Rome due to its location and the wonderful time we had during our stay. We hope to return to Rome in the future and would be delighted to stay once again at the Hiberia.

Just had 2 night stay in this hotel, wished it could have been more. Perfect location for sightseeing only 5 minutes from most of the main sites of interest. rooms spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. highly recommended

Room Tip: For a family room 214 has a twin and double room plus bathroom. Great for a family sharing.

My husband and I recently visited Rome for the first time. We only had one day and night there unfortunately but managed to see quite a bit due to the fantastic location of the hotel - a few minutes walk from the Trevi fountain and Colloseum. We arrived quite late in the evening and were received very warmly and shown up to a comfortable, clean room within minutes. The bathroom only had a handheld showerhead in a small bath, but the water temperature and pressure was good. Breakfast was included and was decent. Generally, we found this to be a well priced budget hotel (in need of a bit of a facelift) with an exceptional location and superb service.

Stayed for a comfortable 3 night stay. Cannot fault location. 5 minute walk to trevi fountain. 10 minute walk to colleseum! Reception very friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned everyday. Cleanliness very good! Reception very modern. Let down as soon as you leave reception for your rooms. The elevator looks like something out of a haunted house / Addams Family. Where is Lurch? Mini bar reasonable in rooms. I knew the board basis was based on continental breakfast. Restaurant very disappointing. Overall enjoyable stay. Would go again but defiantly not in the standard rooms and defiantly not book any meals in the hotel!

Stayed there in July 2013, location is great and the receptionist very friendly.
As soon as you enter the upper floor the bad odour of the carpet was in the air. Our room was very spacious and looked nice at first sight. When you looked a little closer there were water stains on the wall everywhere, especially on the dividing wall from the bathroom. The water actually came through the wall when we showered, into the bedroom. Also the air condition leaked and the container which was put underneath it to catch the water over floated. The bedspreads were not the cleanest, also the rug on the floor just a little too ugly. In the bathroom the appliances needed a bit more tender loving care, better to be replaced. I am not super fussy, but for the price we paid I can't really recommend it. Also it was extremely loud from the outside traffic. There are better choices in Rome and I have been there quite often to compare. 2 star for a 4 star price.

Room Tip: don't get the room towards the street because of the noise.

the funny part is once you get there you feel like in a haunted house. the lift is too old and takes time to lock and goes up in the first floor. beware if you try to open the door when the car didn't stop completely you may be stuck.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The room is spacious, clean and very comfortable.
the location is perfect, quite road outside and safe. if you walk for 5 minutes you will get to the bars and restaurants close to the Trevi fountain where you can enjoy the night life and Dolce Vita.
Negatives: the rooms are not sound proof
the breakfast is poor and the place is very tiny and not well lightened.

I would recommend this hotel for sure.
