“Rome for 3 days”

The first day my husband and I arrived we were treated poorly. The person at the Reception was very rude. Zero customer service skills. The hotel is small, a Bed & Breakfast type of hotel, but clean and comfortable. Apart from this particular Receptionist (an older man), the rest of the staff was nice and courteous.

Room Tip: Not recommended for family with small children

While not located in the downtown of rome, it is a five minute walk to the metra, and a quick trip to the sights. I was traveling with my girlfriend, she and I appreciated the reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the everyday life of rome. After walking and seeing the sights all day it was great to have an oasis of calm to recuperate for the next day.

The room was large and cleaned everyday. We stayed in room 204 and it had a beautiful balcony.

The staff was always helpful and allowed us an early check-in. They provide useful tips for when to visit specific sites.

If I ever return to Rome I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Travelling with children in Europe is not easy, specially when hotels are designed for no more than 2 people per room. Nonetheless, trying to stay within a reasonable rate, my family of 12, picked this hotel because it offered rooms up to quadruple size, was affordable and relatively close to the center of rome. After a very long flight from the US we arrived at the hotel hoping for an early check-in but instead greeted by a man at the reception assuming "we americans" wanted to stuff more people into the rooms than was allowed. We had booked enough rooms to split everyone up so we weren't sure what his problem was. After a few exchanges he realized his mistake and gave us our rooms. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the a/c was superb. The walls and doors are paper thin and travelling with 5 kids only fueled our neighbors to remind us of how thin they were. The hotel is in a residential area so be aware of that and that restaurants are not as abundant. Cabs will be needed to get to the center but then you can walk everywhere else. Beyond our first reception, the rest of the staff was very welcoming.

What a great find in Rome. Well located, easy to drive to, and free parking - right in the middle of Rome. The rooms were clean and air conditioned, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was great. Superb value for money and definitely a place we'd stay again.

Don't forget your earplugs if you stay at this hotel. There is no sound isolation at all. We stayed for 3 days there. Sleeping was not possible at all at 1st day as we got a room near reception and elevator, room nr 100, avoid it. (such rooms should not be offered for customers at all, as most likely staff knows how noisy it is). Just after check in we stayed in the room for some 10 min and it was already clear that sleeping will be terrible, so we asked to change the room, but the staff refused to do this. The room was changed only next day after asking them again, but the sound isolation quality was the same, luckily we were coming late back, but the early morning was noisy because of the neighbors speaking loud. So all in all it feels like other guests are being in your room together.

Room Tip: Avoid room nr.100 near reception

We recently stayed here for a birthday treat for my husband. We had done our research before booking. We stayed for 4days and would highly recommend staying in this lovely hotel. We arrived after 9.30pm and was greeted by a gentleman on reception. He briefed us on the hotel and breakfast arrangements.
Our room (204) was a good size and had a balcony over looking the main entrance, although not directly on the main road it was still a little bit noisy at certain times of the night with traffic. The room was well kept and clean as was the bathroom the shower cubicle was on the small side. The rooms were cleaned everyday and new towels and toiletries replaced.
We also had a small fridge/minibar which was full of drinks from spirits, wines, fruit juice, water to soft drinks, but was handy to use for your own stuff. There was a hairdryer and trouser press in the room, all what was missing was a kettle fortunately we took our own.
Breakfast selection was excellent fresh meats, cheese, eggs, fruit, vegetables, bread, pastries, cereal and yoghurt. A good selection of fruit juices, coffees (you can make your own or ask for a cappuccino or latte) and assorted teas. We had breakfast in the garden each morning it was so pleasant.
The garden was a place we headed for after a long day walking it was nice and quiet with plenty of comfy sofas/chairs and tables to sit and relax.
Just to the left of the entrance a little up the road is a fantastic supermarket to get your supplies great selections of wines and a fantastic deli counter, worth a visit inside as when building this store they found some ancient roman ruins and can be seen through a glass floor.
Ideal hotel location for everywhere 15/20 mins walk to the Termini about a 1 hour walk to the Coliseum although there are bus stops outside the hotel or you can get the metro from the Termini to various places, we used the metro to get to the Vatican but walked everywhere else.
Highly recommend staying here.

Very hostile place to stay. A good area for eating out and explore the city. It only requires good condition of you and your feet or a bus ticket. The nights were quite on the third floor with open window. The rooms are classic and nostalgic. The breakfast was good. The rooms had a roman flair, very nice. Only drawback was the price.
