We always stay at this hotel in Rome. We could choose a 5star hotel, but we've stayed here since our first trip to Rome and it always brings back nice memories. And somehow, they always give us the same room as for our first trip!
Of course, it's not a 5star hotel, but it's a perfect choice for a short trip to Rome: we particularly like the location, perhaps a little out of the way from the centre but more quiet; we go out every night and have a beautiful walk back to the hotel - it takes 10 minutes. We never have to use taxis.
The rooms are spacious and clean - we always have a corner room which must be bigger than the standard ones. They have a big bathroom - useful for a couple trying to get ready for dinner in a hurry. The staff are welcoming and helpful particularly with the parking; the terrace on the top floor is lovely. We don't usually stay much in the hotel as we're out and about in Rome, but it's relaxing when we're there.
On the minus side, I wish we had a proper double bed rather than a joined up twin bed but I wouldn't want to have a different room either!

We stayed for two nights at the Hotel Victoria and right from check in, we noticed the difference and it exceeded our expectations by the friendliness and helpful staff. The trip to Rome was to celebrate a 60th Birthday holiday trip before heading back home and the hotel on learning of the purpose of the trip pleasantly surprise us with in a large complimentary fruit basket as well as a bottle of Chianti. Without going into all of the details, the room had all the comforts of a five star hotel without the stars and the price. There were a lot of hotel services available to us that we did not make use of due to time constraints. The check out was just as pleasant we had a very late flight out of Rome, the Hotel attended to security of our luggage giving us an extra day to enjoy in Rome whilst waiting for the flight. They attended to the drop off at the airport by providing their hotel private at rates better than taxis. I will be a returning guest for any future stays in Rome.

The location was nice. The Borghese Park was wonderful and a short enough walk from most sights. My one big complaint is that we wanted to tour the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel on the day before the Canonization ceremony, on April 26. We asked the front desk to call us a taxi which they promptly did. It wasn't until after the taxi was called that we were told the Sistine Chapel was closed except to tours. Had we known this very important fact before calling the taxi, we wouldn't have asked for one. Even though the cab arrived in less than 1 minute, he wanted to be paid and guess who had to pay him. That's right, it cost me 7 euros for nothing. I was VERY unhappy and thought the hotel should have offered to cover the cost or give us some kind of compensation. Also, if you arrive on the late side of breakfast they will 'shoo' you out and frown upon taking a plate to your room. Otherwise, staff was very friendly.

The hotel is kind of off on it's own but you are only a short walk from the Via Vento, and many tourist sights such as the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The Borghese Gardens and Museum are located a very short distance away, you can see the gardens if you have a front facing room. The hotel staff is engaging and friendly. For breakfast, they have the usual eggs and bacon but they also had an excellent choice of fresh cold cuts along with loaves of bread that you could cut to the size you wanted. The room was typically small as is usual in our price range but it was comfortable and quiet. We had a very small bathroom with a shower, it would have been nice to have a tub to soak in after a day of sightseeing. If we travel back to Rome, we would not hesitate to stay there again.

I stayed here as part of a tour group recently. My sister and I shared one room with twin beds, and I would agree that the room while small if you think American-sized, was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful not only working hard to get us into rooms as we arrived at varying times during the day but recommending some wonderful places to eat, and giving directions when we were wandering off without the tour. The breakfast was good and had items for varied tastes, and even the staff here was pleasant and accommodating as well. As a person in my late 30s, I was able to walk to and from any site almost without the use of taxis, so for me it was perfectly located. I would definitely recommend it for those travelling to Rome.

I had this accommodation several times in Rome. It's one the better for the price range. Just some rooms need a little improvement, so my judgement of the rooms is placed in the lower band of the mean. Anyway, the hotel is good and the staff is excellent.

Hotel is off the beaten path, in an upscale part of town. Room is small (13' x 13') and the bathroom is an additional 7' x 12'. Room has wood furniture and wood floors, bathroom is remodeled in tile floors. There is free street parking, though limited spaces. Walk out the front door and turn left for a block and you come across subway station. Room had No microwave or coffee maker. There are plenty of restorants and cafes on the streets around hotel. The hotel uses actual keys to enter the room, and unfortunately you need to insert the key into a wall outlet to turn on the room lights, this doesnt allow one person to leave the room with the room key in the evening(otherwise no lights in room). There is a computer and printer in the lobby, but couldnt get the printer to work properly. Lobby area is divided into 4 seperate areas.
