Hotel generally okay apart from the noise at night from outside. Woken up most nights by either a car alarm or by the bins being emptied at 1 in the morning. The other thing that was annoying was the air conditioning. The unit was old and noisy and was generally useless. It was placed next to the window so all the cool air went straight out the window. The room itself was comfortable and breakfast was adequate. For the price this hotel is just fine. It's close to all the major sites. You can walk to most in under 20 minutes.

Room Tip: Get your room at the back of the hotel if you can.

The hotel is an older style with narrow hallways and small elevator yet has a somewhat quant charm. The room was clean and adequately furnished although a bit small. The staff was courteous and helpful and I would stay there again due to modest price and convenient location near Termini Station and Metro.

Room Tip: Handicap persons may be able to secure a ground floor room with advance request.

The hotel is near Termini station-- but if you are trudging big suitcases, it is not too close. However, it is a good locality-- Papal Basilica of Santa Maria is just a few steps away. The bus and tram stations are just on the backside road.
The room and the bathroom are of moderate size as well as clean and well-maintained. There is a huge cupboard for your clothes etc, and can be locked. The lift is old-fashioned but works well. Security system is also good. The staff at the desk were very helpful and never got tired of telling us about the sight-seeing etc. Do look for Metro station Vittorio Emanuele, a few steps from the hotel-- on the opposite direction of the Basilica.
There is a supermarket close by (ask the staff about its location), which was a plus point. We did roam around at night on the streets of Rome freely and had Gelato at a shop near the Basilica. Also had Indian Biryani at a small shop near the hotel and at Halal Restaurant near Termini station. Train service is very good and fast (careful about pick-pockets). We had no negative experiences in Italy though (thank God)!
Breakfast spread was quite good.
The air-conditioning has be improved, as it was very hot in Rome and the AC was neither adequate nor could be increased! The owners should also consider putting small fans in the rooms.

Room Tip: AC is not adequate during summer, because of which sleep quality suffers.

This was the first of many places my wife and I stayed at during our summer trip to Italy. There were so many places to evaluate online and I finally picked this one since I could actually confirm it was there with GoogleMaps. Tiles EVERYwhere, counter staff were dependable and knowledgeable about local points of interest..(pretty much all of Rome) and most importantly, tolerated my mangia cake attempts at Italian. Ridiculous for what you pay, including the cita tax per person per room. FYI, the cafe kitty corner to the hotel wasn't so hot.. Head over a couple of blocks and the food is molto delizioso. The internet was wireless and very effective. Breakfast was decent and they crank out some pretty decent espresso.

Room Tip: Our room was ground level at the corner of the building. Very spacious, very clean. Windows and shut...

The hotel is opposite of what website shows ! Best to avoid it , The staff at Front desk are discourteous and do not know anything about hospitality
As soon as you enter dingy room , notice says towels and bed sheets will be changed ONLY after 2 days ( Website fails to mention this ) You cannot regulate the speed of Air conditioning , The staff informed us owner does not allow this , our remote controls get damaged so it has to be fixed and you cannot change it , it was set at maximum in one direction with swing not moving . Breakfast is terrible , one of the worst Hotels in stayed in

Room Tip: Don't Stay , Avoid it

We enjoyed our stay at the Montreal and found the staff to be very helpful, especially Pasquale. Security is noteworthy. More than adequate for the price we paid. Location is convenient to the center of Rome and Termini.
