We stumbled upon this great little restaurant while strolling around near the Pantheon. We had a short wait without a reservation and it was definitely worth it. We had three different pasta dishes that were all wonderful! They have very good wines at a reasonable price as well. Fredrica, our server, took great care of us and made us feel at home.

We dropped in here on our first night in Rome. This i a tourist restaurant, but it's a darn good one! Rome is a tourist city! I assume the two guys serving were the owners, and they did a great job. We did not have a reservation and they cleared the mushroom display table to make room for us. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for this neighborhood. When we told them we wanted to share dishes, they were delivered to the table on two plates. The special veal with truffles was excellent! This place was packed with customers while most others in the area had only a few customers. That's probably the best review of all. I would certainly come back.

My wife and I had the great fortune to be guided for dinner to Pietro al Pantheon. The tratorria is located along a narrow corridor across from his father's renown restaurant. A warm welcome from the owner and we were escorted into the charming interior passing by beautifully arranged platters of squash flowers and Porcini mushrooms. A nice mix of locals and tourists were seated in this cozy but very comfortable room of 10 to 12 tables. The restaurant is located only a few minutes from the Pantheon which might lead one to question the quality of the food. Nothing could be further from the truth. My wife ordered the ravioli and I chose the tagliateli. The quality of the homemade pasta was unsurpassed and the level of service was relaxed but efficient. Furthermore, the food was very reasonably priced and, likewise their wine, which was sourced from many small local wineries. As others have mentioned previously this is a popular spot so reservations are recommended. We enjoyed our time at Pietro so much we went back the next day for lunch, this time sitting at an outside table. The couple next to us had been staying in Rome for 2 weeks and told us this was their 8th time dining at this fine establishment. Now that is the ultimate endorsement!

Only steps away from the Pantheon, this place is a must try. I came here one night and had to return for lunch before I left Rome. Homemade noodles with pork/mushrooms are both to die for (around 12-15 euros). Quality house wine was such a bargain. From the outside it may not look as busy/fancy as other restaurants on the same street. Their staff don't come out to promote, either. Nonetheless, it served one of the nicest pasta I've had during my one month stay in Italy.

Visited this restaurant when in Rome with friends, we were a group of around 20. They did not find a problem in setting up tables for us. Food was cheap and portions were large! Moreover, the food was fresh, made there and then, and absolutely delicious! One has to try the Quadrati al Carne or Ravioli al Pecorino Romano. The sauce was fantastic. The staff was very homely and friendly!
