It is an already well know restaurant.
Few years ago we stopped by even if they are completely in touristic area surrounded by many restaurants for tourists. But porcini and gallucci mushrooms they displayed in front said they are professional. And we were happy to have found out they don't cheat or fool you, as some bad touristic restaurants do.
Thus, any time we are in Rome we go soon to Pietro al Pantheon (from now on "Pietro") and we never have a delusion. As matter of fact, last year we sent some friends to "Pietro" and the
day-after comment was "Thanks a lot, you are great".

They offer all traditional roman kitchen. A small space, but they try their best to accommodate customers wish to have good lunch/dinner in Rome.
Pasta is always wonderful, they even advice you if we are ordering too much to eat, which is very kind. They have a large choice of high quality wines, but also one wine "home-made" without preservatives which is professionally done and has a very good taste.

Stefano, the owner, is always very attentive to the quality and to the restaurant embellishments. Indeed, on the walls there are many interesting paintings, some made from his customer-friends

Sergio, his collaborator, together with his joyful attitude and right suggestions, is a precious part of the restaurant.

Having just had a wonderful meal at another trip advisor recommended restaurant and given this restaurant's high rating we were expecting much better quality food than we were actually served. Not sure if the chef was having a bad night, but the food was overcooked and very average. On the plus side the service was very good and friendly and the prices reasonable.

My sister and I ate here our first night in Rome and it was perfect! We started with the bruschetta platter .. Four different kinds of bruschetta and each one was delicious! We both ordered spaghetti with garlic, olive oil and pepperoncino! It was some of the best I have had! Pasta was perfectly cooked and the flavor of the dish was yummy! We did not order dessert but had gelato from the shop near the Pantheon while walking back after our meal. This restaurant is tiny so prepare to sit right next to other diners but the atmosphere is quaint and so Italian! We loved it and will visit again before heading home to U.S.!

Dinner at 8 pm.
Reserved table in advance, Very welcoming atmosphere. After viewing the menu, one of us wanted two main courses. Fegato di vitella all´arrabbiata is a killer as a starter or main course. The Chef proposed another dish not on the meny this evening, but he made it specially for us without ordering. Try the Fegatelli di Pollo. What a service!
We will be back very soon. Good service, excellent food and reasonable prices.
