“Great accommodation !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2014

We recently took over the 4 rooms and spent 5 nights at this lovely apartment. Located a little way out but in a nice quiet area and still within a 40minute walk of the centre or a 7 euro taxi. Facilities are good and as described on the website, breakfast, coffee etc are topped up daily. We had a small problem with the hot water which was rectified immediately by Andrea who also provided detailed knowledge of the local restaurants and amenities. The outside space is also a real bonus and great to sit in on a sunny day !
We used romeshuttleservices.com for transfer to and from Fiumicino airport, who charged 120 euros for 8 adults with a small case each.
We would all recommend this property to anyone !

Room Tip: All the rooms are a reasonable size with nice shower rooms and the Japanese room having the only bat...

We just recently finished a week's stay at the Monteverde Guesthouse with friends. There were 9 of us in total (5 children and 4 adults). The home was a great launching spot for each day's outings. Location felt very central with very doable walks to the Vatican and the Forum area.
The house was also a great retreat for the families with lots of room to stretch, comfortable furnishings and an outdoor area (with Table Tennis) which was put to great use.
The managers were very attentive to our needs and even went so far as to return something our son had left behind.
For our first trip to Rome this was a great spot and I would highly recommend it.

Our family of 9 took over the guesthouse for 2 nights in November and had a great experience. The owners Andrea and Delia are a young couple who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Not only was Andreas helpful and knowledgeable but also had his doctor father come over and check out my dad who suffered a fall in Rome. I thoroughly recommend them and will return. Loved it !!! Thank you.

Great spot. Far enough from centre to avoid tourists but Los enough to reach all sites quickly.
Staying in a neighborhood allowed us to go to some fab restaurants, markets and shops.
Our family took over the 4 bedrooms all with private baths,.We enjoyed the courtyard for afternoon home made lunches and the kitchen and living room allowed for casual meetings. The owner was fabulous as he arranged restaurant and taxi bookings.
Would do it again!

Room Tip: All good! We had Japanese room. Make sure you use nightlight as wife did take a tumble.

We were 4 couples staying in Rome for 3 nights. We occupied all 4 rooms and had the apartment to ourselves. It was perfect and easily met our needs. Very clean, great breakfast set up. Owners are very friendly and helpful even assisting with some local restaurant suggestions. Loved it!

Our family group of seven took over the Guesthouse for ten days in late Sepember and early October. Four bedrooms , each with ensuite bath, were exactly as pictured. We made good use of the kitchen, dining and living rooms and had several lunches in the attractive garden.

The Guesthouse is located in the pleasant Monteverde Vecchio neighbourhood , a bit away from the main tourist areas. We enjoyed the local delicatessans, bakeries, flower shops, wine bars, gelato stores and the like, all of which are a short walk away . The local market is a couple of blocks away and great for fresh fruit, vegetables and lots more. We ate at several of the local restauants ( Tutto Qua, Il Cortile and our favourite, Il Focolare, just steps from the house. )

Andreas and Delia are a charming young couple who were always helpful, from the time of our first enquiry, through the visit and afterwards ( Delia mailed back an item of electronics we had overlooked when packing ) .Andreas cheerfully made restaurant and taxi reservations for us on a daily basis.

The tram to the city centre can be reached via a ten minute downhill walk , and Trastevere is another five or ten minutes walk away ( We always took a cab back, to avoid the uphill climb ) . The Gianicolo lookout and Garibaldi monument are perhaps a twenty minute liesurely walk. The Vatican is a 8 to 10 Euro cab ride away, as is the central tourist area.

The Guesthouse made a perfect base for out stay in Rome.

Wonderful space with the bonus of a private patio. Bathrooms in all the rooms and the rooms were spacious. Travelled with 9 family members and it was ideal place to keep every comfortable. Andrea was more then helpful with all his tips about getting around Rome, bus routes and taxis to all the attractions and recommended restaurants and shops. The space had all the amenities of your own home. It was a great price to be in Rome but away from the crowds in the tourist areas. Only a few minute taxi ride which was less the 10 Eu for a 8person cab- as cheap a taking a bus. The view on Monteverde is 360 degree of Rome which is beautiful by night and by day. Meals up in Monteverde was very good. It's a quite safe and beautiful place to end your day after a busy hot day exploring old Rome. Thank you to Andrea and Delia so much for helping with our travel arrangements and making the last part of our Italian Vacation perfect.
