Thank you very much!
We anyway remind everyone is reading that the Hotel and the rooms are located at the third floor of an ancient building not providing with a lift and that our limited time check-in is only from 1pm to 6pm.
Thanks again and see you the next time!
I had found this place on hotels.com and i am so glad i did. The rates are really good and affordable for Rome. The hotel is very well located, 10 min walking distance from the subway and not in the typical touristy area which means there are lots of great restaurants around where the locals go! you are still close to everything. we walked to the Colosseum in 15 min.
The rooms are super clean equiped with a hairdryer, a safe, Air conditionning. And it is very quiet. You get to choose what you want for breakfast every evening and they deliver it directly to your room in the time of your choice the next morning.
Louiegi, Mauro and Angelo at the desk are super friendly and so helpful! they all speak very good english. Each day they recommended us with local restaurants and things to see.
Just be aware that the hotel is on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators but trust me if you eat well in Rome you will need the workout!!
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and if i go back to rome i will definitely stay there.
Thank you so much for such a good review!!!
You described everything and we are so thankful for that, you let other pontential guests understand the Hotel!
Let us add that we do not have a sign outside our door and on our website there are all specific directions to reach us (and also all our special offers and discounts!).
Also, our check-in time is only from 1pm to 6pm.
Take care and we look forward to meeting you again!
My girlfriend and I stayed here for four nights after reading some reviews on both Tripadvisor and an LGBT travel site. We were extremely nervous, as it was our first time in Italy and we had heard about some race-inspired attacks (both of us are African-American). We actually arrived an hour and a half late. When we finally arrived, Mauro was more than happy to help us upstairs with our luggage (there is no lift---get used to that). He even called our names when he answered the buzzer! He ensured that our check-in was smooth, told us that the area was completely safe AND recommended places for us to visit around the area for cheap!
The rooms were very clean and breakfast was wonderful. Brought to us in a timely fashion, every morning. The beds were extremely comfortable. We also got quite silly with one of the oldies channels in Rome--a real treat if you like to laugh at 80's videos.
The proximity to the sights was almost unbelievable. Ten minutes walk to the Colosseum, fifteen minutes to Trevi/Spanish Steps and, if you're feeling quite adventurous, a 40 minute walk to the Vatican! You'll find plenty of local stores and restaurants in the neighborhood. Train station is five minutes from the hotel if you must take it. I'd suggest walking, you learn more about Rome that way.
The highlight of this entire experience was Mauro and his beautiful spirit. He is an absolutely incredible, informative and welcoming host. DO NOT HESITATE TO COME HERE. I would recommend this hotel to any and everyone with eyes and ears. Book a stay here as soon as you can. You will not regret it. We are visiting Rome again next year and--you guessed it---we will be staying here.
Ok, now we fell very flattered and honored after such an immensive and awesome review!!!
Thank you very much for all the compliments (a big and personal hug from Mauro!) and mostly because you really took what is our final focus with our guests: enjoy Rome as it has to be done! There is no need to waste money in reservations, City Passes and anything else: Rome has to be discovered, walking, enjoying and getting lost! You have been the best witnesses!
Thinking to come back in Rome??? You have got our e-mail, we do not even have to ask you to write us!!!!
My wife and i stayed at Hotel De Monti for 3 nights which in hindsight was a bit short to fully appreciate this wonderful city. Taking this into consideration the advice that we got from Mauro was just like what's been said in other reviews. He saved us hours of time by not having too wait in queues. He even identified a short cut from the Sistine Chapel to St Peter's Basilica which saved us a 45 minute walk around the Vatican.
Although the Hotel doesn't have a lift to the 3rd floor were the rooms are located the climb is a good warm up for all the other leg work that you will do around Rome. In any case the staff will offer to carry your luggage up the stairs. The rooms are large and very clean with a very nice breakfast delivered to your room at a time nominated by you. The hotel staff are very accommodating and we had no problem organizing breakfast when we forgot to put our order in the night before.
The reception hours are a little bit unconventional and was a little inconvenient when it was time to check out however this issue was overcome in no time with no problems at all. This hotel is in a great location, very affordable and great value for money. We have no problem recommending this hotel to any couple visiting Rome.
This is a perfect review, synthesis of all what concerns the Hotel.
We just now have to thank you so much and wait until you will be back here with us, hopefully as soon as possible.
We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon in early August. It was a fantastic choice! Don't be put off by the exterior, the room was excellent, clean and well equipped. Mauro provided excellent advice on where to go and what to avoid. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome.
thanks so much for posting this review and we would like to remind that we are at the third floor of an ancient building not provided with a lift and that, not having a sign outside the Hotel, our website is the best place where to get specific directions.
Also, our limited time check-in is from 1pm to 6pm and we please everyone reserving, to let us know the estimated arrival time.
We look forward to meeting you again in Rome!!!
We would without doubt choose this accommodation again when returning to
Rome. The staff were enthusiastically helpful and the room itself was very
nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. I especially liked the breakfast being
brought to the room - the list of choices wasn't huge but there was a
decent variety and everything we chose was lovely. And it always arrived
at the precise time you requested it - right to the second. We loved the neighbourhood - after a
long and tiring day of sightseeing, it was great to try some of the
local restaurants. (Special mention goes to 'Ai tre scalini'
which we loved.)
If arriving on foot from the train station do be sure to check street
numbers as there is only a small sign on the door entry system (we managed
to walk past it on arriving).
Thank you very much for such a wonderful review!
Mainly for reminding everyone that, not having a sign outside, it is better to have specific directions. On our website, there is a link to find them (and even for our special offers...).
The breakfast policy of the Hotel is not to put a huge useless choice of funny imitations of international products, but a targeted list of all regional fresh local products, to start your day as real Romans (even though you should smoke as you wake up to completely be Italian!).
See you next time!
