Cornelia Resort is advertised as a resort... It is nothing like a resort! It is a 5 bedroom B & B. when we arrived at the 'resort' we went into what we thought was the lobby and placed our luggage so we could get our bearings. We were them abused for 2 hours by the caretaker of the building for leaving our luggage against (not tht it was in the way) whilst we tried to find out hoe to check in and where exactly the resort was. We pressed the buzzer to the resort and no answer. We tried to call the number tht was given to us by booking.com and it was disconnected. Myself, my 60 year old mother and my 2 daughters (aged 3 & 14) started to panic as we thought we had no where to sleep upon our arrival into Rome. While I stayed with my children and the luggage my mother wandered around to see if there was any other available accommodation. I was screamed at and sworn at for the entire time by this horrible woman and her side-kick who I can only assume was her husband. My 3 year old daughter peed her pants and as I was trying to clean her up an the floor they stood over me and screamed some more. The man also smacked My 3 years hand when she touched the door! i lost it and threatened the police! Elka, the woman who runs the resort eventually turned up to say that there was only 1 available room instead of the 2 we had booked originally. The check in times states on booking.com are between 12-7pm and we arruved at 4pm and Elka disnt turn up until 6pm. The whole situation was extremely stressful, on a plus Elka did organise alternative accommodation in another B & B close by and that was wonderful. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere nice, it is a trip of a lifetime after all!
