Location is astonishing, right in front of Ludus Magnus (i.e. gladiators gym), 100 metres from Domus Aurea (i.e. Nerone's urban Villa) and Colosseum (i.e. I guess no need to explain)
The restaturant itself is incredibly shabby and unispiring, the kind of place you would never get in unless someone strongly suggested. but it serves the best pizza in Rome.
Among my favourites: Angioletti (fried pizza chops with tomato and basil), fried anchovies, Spaghetti allo scoglio (but ask the waiter to confirm what's really fresh from the sea), Pizza regina (Pizza Margherita with additional provola).
Waiters are much fun!

Great location, view of the Colosseum in the background. The pizza was so good that we went back 3 times! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable

The prices are quite low (considering the location) but so was the food: it was the most tasteless pizza I ever had in Italy. Even the "olio picante" was plain...
On top of that we waited 15 minutes for the bill, asking each waiter for it. When it finally came, it had 4 Euro "service charge" on it, even that on the menu on the wall it states clearly "no service charge". I've been many times in Italy and every restaurant is specifying the "coperto" on the menu. After some protests, the waiter gave us back the 4 Euro...
Bottom line: don' eat there, the food is bad, the service is slow and the waiters will try to get some extra money from you.

Having visited the Forum we were ready for a rest before hitting the Colliseum. A large airy room inside was cool and the food was pleasant enough and good value for money, considering the location.

A view of the Ruins of Rome and fun good food make Pizza Forum a great stop. The pizza was great and the service delightful. We will come back soon.
