“Nice, clean, well-located hotel with super helpful staff”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

I stayed here for four nights last week while on vacatoin and I thought it was an excellent choice. The rooms are Euro-sized (read: kind of small), but well-appointed and very tastefully decorated. My bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower was hot. The rooftop bar has a great view. I didn't eat in the main restaurant, but I'm told the food there is very good. The best thing about this hotel is that it is really well-located, midway between the Plaza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps, on a very quiet street. If you run, as I do, the Villa Borghese is a 10-minute job away Everyone who works at the First Luxury Art Hotel s friendly and really helpful. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat and would heartily recommend it. I found it on TripAdvisor to begin with and I wasn't at all disappointed.

Spent the first 3 nights of our two week trip to Italy at this hotel - the service was excellent and friendly in every way. Staying at a small, luxury hotel like this you get all the personal service needed - great restaurant recommendations, reservations made for you with nice table locations, car services, etc. We had a junior suite which was modern, had beautiful furnishings, and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Rome.

Beautiful modern hotel in a great location near Piazza del Popolo. We stayed for five nights in July, and the large suite with a nice seating area and great air conditioner was the perfect escape from the Rome heat. The rooftop bar/restaurant is lovely and has a great view and the staff is helpful and knowlegeable.

Room Tip: Beautiful suites!

The hotel exceeded our expectations invirtually every way. We stayed in an Art Suite using a Master Card special 4 for 3 offer. The room was large, with 2 full baths, which is always nice when with my wife. It also had 2 separate sitting areas. While no view, we found the room excellent and with great air conditioning and very quiet.

The staff from start to finish were very friendly and helpfull, and the breakfast staff were even better. Antonio greeted us upon arrival and could not have been more friendly and helpfull.

Did not eat other than breakfast, but did visit the rooftop, which has a spectacular view of all of Rome, especially the very top sitting area.

Highly recommend everything here especially the location. Unless you want a typical Rome room with heavy decorating and dark curtains its a great place.

Room Tip: Art Suite is fabulous if the dollars ( or Euros) make sense to you

We wanted something special with a first class taste for our first days as a married couple. This hotel gave us just that. Beautiful surroundings, perfect location and very professional (with excellent language skills) and helpful staff.

They welcome you with a nice smile accompanied with a glass of Prosecco. Check-in was smooth and they gave us a quick tour to the hotel's premises. The room was nice, beautiful details and perfect lighting. The bed was very comfortable by italian standards (for me it was still little bit hard, but we have extra soft bed at home) and I loved the pillows and the blanket. Free wifi was a nice touch and it worked smoothly.
Breakfast was good, it's not excellent but surely there is something for everyone and the staff is really nice. My husband enjoyed their coffee!

The hotel is located close to Piazza del Popolo and we thought it was a perfect location. It is close to everything and still far away from the noise and the crowd. It is truly a luxury in Rome not to be listening the city noise from your hotel room!!

Our only complaint is that there is no possibility to iron your shirt. They said that it is for safety reason but I don't really understand it. Especially when the room's main power is switched of every time you take your keycard to leave the room. At least they should have a ironing room of some kind for guests to use. Now the only possibility is to use the laundry service for the ironing and that takes time and costs money (about 8€/shirt). This system is definitely not customer friendly.

In spite of the ironing issue we loved the hotel and their wonderful staff and will definitely return when next time in Rome!!

We stayed at The First Luxury Art Hotel for 4 nights in mid September. Our stay there was perfect in every way! To begin with, the front desk staff and manager certainly exceeded our expectations. They were able to anticipate every need we had before we had even finished our sentence - from recommending restaurants and making the reservations, to calling taxis, to printing out tickets for us and so on. They did everything with a genuine smile and wish to make us happy and often were up for some friendly conservation when not too busy. We found their pleasant down-to-earth professionalism to be very unique as it stood head and tails above all the other hotels we stayed in on our trip through France and Italy.

The rooms were immaculate and beautiful and the bathroom was stunning with an amazing shower. The breakfast was extensive and delicious as other reviews have also mentioned and of course the staff in the restaurant were just excellent. It is definitely important to book with the breakfast included.

Finally, the location is ideal. We literally walked to all the sites we visited. The furthest major sites were the Vatican and Colosseum which only took about 25 min to walk to.

We whole heartedly recommend this most beautiful, superbly staffed hotel at the heart of Rome. On our next visit, there is no question that we will stay there again!

On our recent stay (September 2013), we found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and kind (the concierge even gave us his personal train tickets so we could avoid the trouble of buying them), the well-appointed room to be luxurious (large beds), quiet and comfortable and the location to be ideal. The rooftop bar offers great views and terrific drinks and service. This was a welcome place to begin and end each day in Rome. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Our junior suite on the second floor was perfect.
