Excellent location being within walking distance of all the major attractions. Upgraded to a junior suite which was a nice touch. Very quiet and service was efficient but unobtrusive. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Dinner was as you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant and breakfast was perfect. Plenty of other restaurants of varying price ranges within close proximity. A luxurious modern boutique hotel that could not be faulted.

For my birthday I choose Rome the place to be and this hotel the place to stay. I couldn't have choosen better. Our room was spacious that is unusual for a hotel that is built into an old palazzo in the centro storico. It was really nicely decorated with a lot of artbooks and gave us the feeling of a lovely contemporay living room. Therefore, we were more than happy to spend more time in our room to relax than we planned. The only thing missing was a coffee or tea maker, so bring one with you if you need that. The hotel is just the right size for a convienent stay. It is small so you get a personal feeling but big enough to provide all the services you need. The location is great. You can take four different ways to walk to the spanish steps or the pantheon. Management and staff were great, friendly and helpful. They always went the extra mile to provide us with a true memorable experience. Thank you for that!

My review is long overdue, as I stayed at this wonderful, luxurious hotel in November 2012 and rarely experienced such a high level of personalized service from a hotel from every single member of its staff, from the moment of my arrival to my departure. The hotel is conveniently located to the Piazza di Spagna and all the great shopping. But more importantly, the luxurious, modern and comfortable accomodation of my room made it tough to acctually leave my room to go sight seeing! From soaking in my deep marble tub to the plushness of linens of my bed, I had to force myself to depart from my room and go to the vatican on my last day in Rome! The staff is eagerly awaiting any request you may have to be satisfied and the hotel manager makes sure everything flawlessly flows. The roof top patio with impressive views of Rome is not to be missed. I found this boutique hotel to be a fantastic value for the high level of service and high end accomodations and would absolutely recommend it to those seaking a wonderful and luxurious experience while staying in Rome.

Room Tip: I was upgraded to a suite, with separate living room and fireplace along with a small balcony, which...

Lovely boutique hotel. Everything was clean and quiet and the room was spacious. The staff was very welcoming. The rooftop bar was a perfect place to start your night or end it with a great cocktail. My only complaint would be the shower/bath situation. We only had a bathtub in our suite and found it pretty inconvenient. It also got pretty wet in the bathroom. Other than that, it's been my favorite place to stay in Rome thus far!

We had 6 nights in Rome and booked a junior suite. On check-in we had the first taste of the good, but not great, service and execution. We were greeted warmly and effusively, offered a glass of prosecco, told we had been upgraded to a suite and then when the phone rang, we were ignored while the gentleman took the call. After a while, the check-in was completed by someone else.

The room was beautiful. One of those rooms that you wait until the porter leaves and then you do a little dance. Lots of room, perhaps even a sofa too many, walk-in closet, TV secreted behind a mirror. After two days we noticed a rather pungent smell on entering the room - at first we thought it was the cleaning products used and it dissipated when we left the window open. By Day 3 it had become significantly worse so we called the front desk and asked them to come for a sniff. They agreed it was not normal and after some discussion, offered to move us to another room. Unfortunately, the room offered was considerably smaller - but apparently bigger than what we had paid for. So we stayed put, asked for a candle and continued to sleep with the window open. As well as being a bit chilly, the other problem this caused was that our room (304) was above the hotel entrance which was also where people stood and smoked. In the mornings you could smell each and every cigarette. Not very pleasant. It was only when we checked out that the manager said he would look into the cause (not much use to us) and the offer of a free upgrade should we return I see as one of those offers you know you never need to deliver on.

The staff were very helpful but English skills varied markedly so we sometimes had difficulty getting our message across about things as simple as asking for a restaurant reservation and (oddly) ordering two bowls of spaghetti bolognese from room service. Cleaning of the room was a little haphazard - one day the bathroom was clearly not touched. They did the evening turn down service - straighten up the bed, leave you water and a chocolate. Oddly only my wife got the water and a chocolate for the first few days. By Day 5 when we looked forward to having the room tidied, the service was inexplicably discontinued. Obviously a very small thing but the inconsistency in service levels was consistent.

Breakfast continued the good, not great, theme. An unchanging continental breakfast buffet and hot items available to order. They started strongly with a delicious eggs benedict and fried eggs with bacon and sausage. Then as the days went by so did supplies - next day we were on rations for sausage, only half one each. The following day, none at all. By the last day there were no sausages, mushrooms or maple syrup. One day we suffered a honey shortage. Just seemed odd that it was a bit of a lottery. And don't ask for the baked beans.

Location is good, just off Piazza del Popolo. The main sights (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Campo de Fiori) are probably just walkable (in the 1-2km range). Some nice restaurants nearby and a deli on the corner.

We enjoyed our stay but like I say, it was good but not great.

Room Tip: Room 304 stank, literally, but was otherwise lovely.

A wonderful hotel in the heart of Rome. Beautifully decorated with all kinds of art to explore. We were greeted with professional and friendly staff, given sparkling wine and made to feel very at home. Every little request was catered for and nothing was too much trouble from the airport limousine transfer to fulfilling our request for a balcony room. The rooms are not huge but perfectly reasonable, comfortable and well designed. The host/concierge recommended and reserved some very nice restaurants for us, provided maps and gave directions. There are 2 reasons that my review falls short of 5*. Firstly, there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. Secondly, the rooms although lovely are paper thin. We were in one half of what must have been adjoining rooms. When the family with young children were in their room next door we could hear every word, noise and breath that they made, including very early in the morning. I'm sure that they had the exact same problem as us because one evening after dinner we were watching the tv, I might add, very quietly as we're were mindful of the family next door. We got a call from reception asking us to turn the sound down. So, just bear this in mind if you are looking for a peaceful or romantic break.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms available. Beware noisy interconnecting rooms.

Dear Guest,

First of all, we would like to thank you again for having stayed at the First Luxury Art Hotel Roma but also for sharing your comments on Tripadvisor.

We are aware that the tea and coffee making facilities are nowadays a must in every hotel bedroom and, infact, we are in the process of obtaining a famous brand coffee machines for our suites.

We are also addressing the sound proofing issue of some of the walls between rooms and we are confident to have it resolved in the near future.

Our goals are to always offer perfection in service and ambience, so we appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us.

We look forward to greeting you again, hoping that the future will store many other opportunities for you to stay with us.
