This tour is an excellent option for those who have been to Rome once or twice before and want to try something a bit different and see a traditional, working class area of Rome away from the most crowded of the tourist sites.

The tour is very well-planned: the number of stops was spot on, and we were always engaged - usually by eating....

Everything we tasted was fantastic, the gelato lesson was great, and the history woven in between the stops was very interesting.

Our guide was fantastic - so rest assured, Kate's mom: your daughter is an excellent tour guide!

I would highly recommend this tour. I think it's also a nice way to spend a morning for trans-Atlantic travelers who arrive at Fiumicino early in the morning and can't check in to their hotels until mid-afternoon.

Read all the reviews and they were totally correct! Our guide, Sarah was so knowledgeable- about food, history, the area, the country etc and made the tour interesting and fun. It was great to see an area I doubt we would have managed to visit - gave us an insight into the real way of life in Rome. At every food stop the people were so friendly and the food delicious. Thank you Sarah for arranging a cake in the restaurant and thank you to our fellow tour takers for sharing it with me and singing happy birthday to me. If you want to see a few places off the beaten track and learn about places not in the guide books in addition to enjoying some fabulous food and company, then this is the tour for you. Great tour and thanks again Sarah

We had so much fun with Kate and Sarah! Great exercise, delicious food and lots of laughs. We loved that this took place in a not so popular neighborhood and didn't have to deal with the big tour groups. Loved it!!,

This tour was an amazing introduction into Roman food and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to add a little depth to their trip to Rome beyond the "usual" sights! This tour offers a chance to see a lesser-visited neighborhood in Rome and to learn about key principles and practices in the art of Roman food. Anyone who likes food will love this tour! You meet genuine Romans with long family histories in their trade and who are delighted to share their fine food with you. I highly recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip (I went on my first full day in Rome) as it gives you a sense for what to look for and enjoy while in Rome beyond the typical tourist traps! The tour offers a bit of history, a glimpse into everyday Roman life, and amazing food. Sarah, my tour guide, was fun, knowledgeable, and clearly has a passion for helping people enjoy the food and sights of Rome! As a solo traveler, it offered great fun with others. It is a must-do!

This tour was absolutely brilliant. Our guide was Sarah, who, to be honest, made the tour.
she was so knowledgable but made it fun. The shop and restuarant owners that we met were such lovely, genuine people, who are truly proud of their skills and family heritage in food. This tour wasn't commercial nor did it feel like a tourist attraction, we were so welcomed in all the establishments. I cannot recommend this tour enough.. it is a must! Thank you Sarah
