“Great B&B in a good location. Mario is a wonderful host!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Mario's B&B after our 7 night cruise on the Norwegian Epic. Mario met us at the door and helped us with our luggage. We used the elevator to get upstairs to our room. The room and ensuite bathroom were clean and suitable for us. The bed was large and very comfortable. When closed, the window in our room blocked the traffic noise, although we left it open most of the time. The light breakfast was more than adequate to start the day off. Mario provided us with a very good city map and he highlighted the streets we should take to each place we wanted to visit. The B&B is in a safe neighborhood, close to many attractions. The Metro is close by; and safe to use. The main train station is a 10-15 minute walk, (through a safe part of the city). There are plenty of coffee shops, stores and restaurants within a few blocks of the B&B. We had an early flight on our last day and Mario prepared us a light breakfast and a thermos of coffee the night before. He is such a wonderful and helpful person. I would highly recommend staying at the Agli Horti Sallustiani B&B. One last thing; the free Wi-Fi worked well in our room. Thanks again Mario from Jeff & Diane.

This was myself and my boyfriend's first visit to Rome and this was the perfect place to stay for us! Not enough can be said about how wonderful Mario is, he is hospitable, always ensures that you are comfortable and provides great advice about the things to do in Rome! Always friendly and makes you feel very welcome in such a huge and bustling city, as did every other person we met from the other apartments in the building. In terms of location this was great, Rome is a wonderful city to walk around as you come across unexpected sights at every turn and so the 15-20minute walk to the Colosseum and 25-30minute walk to the Vatican City ensured lots of surprises on the way! Other great sights such as the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain etc are all within a pleasant walking distance. If walking isn't for you, then there is a great bus service which Mario will tell you all about which gets you to the main sights quickly and cheaply! The rooms are light, comfortable and modern with a proper double bed (no twins pushed together!) Breakfast is simple but tasty and you are welcome to eat as much as you want. Overall this was such a great experience, and we will definitely stay here when we next come to Rome!

We spent 3 nights at Mario's B&B and we definitely enjoyed our stay there!
Mario's welcome makes you understand immediately that you will be treated like a real guest.
The flat is brand new and located at the 5th floor with elevator and the view from the window is nice. The area around is very quiet and secure (banks & public administration buildings)
A/C in the room makes you feel relax after a long day walking in Roma. (15 min from Trevi fountain - Bus station at 100m)
Price / Quality ratio cannot be better!

It's a simple hotel, near Termini Station and bus stops. Have a nice breakbast and its owner, Mario, is very kind and available to help. The room where we slept was quiet and the AC worked well. The surrounded area seems secure at day and night.

I've stayed at Mario's for 2 nights in June and I would be absolutely happy to recomend this charming place and it's lovely owner.
This is a very basic but thoughful and friendly place for those of you who want to travel the city and not to stay in your room.
The B&B is spotless, and Mario is very kind. For my personal experience from him: he was kind enough to carry my lugadge to Termini station himself.
This is a great way to see the nature of the city and experience at least one great Italian person :)

Room Tip: There are five rooms and as far as I could tell, they were all the same.

We had a great time in Rome at this BB. Great location, close to all attractions, 10 minute walk from Termini Station. The lovely host 'Mario' was very helpful. Our room was very clean with a confortable bed. Excellent price/quality ratio. We highly recommend this BB.
