My first cornetto in Rome became my daily cornetto in Rome. We tried three different loaves of fresh, hot, crusty bread that never made it back to our apartment. If you love fresh, home baked goods, this is the stop for you. Even better if you are staying close by and can go back to your apt to chase the wonderful delicacies with a fresh espresso.

This take away pizza spot offers piping hot delicious pizzas and a fun dining experience. You have to crowd inside a tiny bakery and yell out your order as soon as the pizza comes out of the oven. The pizzas literally go in econds. The only drawback is that it is such a frenzy you might not get the exact one you were hoping for. We went in longing for rosas, but came out with zucchini and cherry tomato. Totally delicious nonetheless.

Recommended by our hotel down the street in Campo de' Fiori when we were looking for a relatively inexpensive take-out spot nearby for pizza. You choose your slice, they weigh it, and charge by weight. Tasty crust and toppings, some of the better pizza we had among nearby restaurants. Pizza is cold but they ask if you'd like it warmed up.

Ok, you fight to get in line here, you fight to get the pizza, but you are rewarded!!!! The red pizza is so basic and so good that will not believe flavor can come from something so simple. Two huge slices will set you back a big 3 Euro! A must do while in Rome. Popular with locals, so be warned of the crowds. You will get your pizza and pay up front w/ the recept they give you. Be sure to stand ouside and watch them make the pie as you're eating it too. Way cheap and way good. A roman tradition. Keep your eyes peeled for Roma soccer players on Saturdays of home matches...

So, I walk in after reading so much about this place, and see customers who were queueing to pay already eating their pizzas, as if they coudn't wait a minute longer to eat. That was a good sign!
I headed to the counter and signaled the size and type of pizza. The staff is super friendly; it's clear that the main customers are Romans, but they still put a lot of effort and humor in understanding what a non-italian speaker wants.
The pizza itself is wonderful; I had the Blanc (olive oil and garlic, I think) and one with tomato sauce. Both were great.
