Description: The pub takes its name from the world renowned Irish National Theatre, which was founded by William Butler Yeats and Lady Gregory.Stage props and costumes from the storerooms of the Abbey Theatre have been used in the decor, giving the pub a very special atmosphere. The six fully air conditioned rooms of the pub are spread over two floors, and a huge range of Irish whiskeys, cocktails and long drinks are on offer, as well as Irish beers on tap including, of course, the famous Guinness. The Abbey Theatre offers irish, italian and international cuisine all day everyday. We are able to show all major sports throughout the pub on 14 TV screens. ( NFL, Premiership, Serie A, Rugby World Cup...). The pub has a happy hour during the daytime, live irish music every week, and free Wi-Fi.The pub also offers private parties or weddings. Our welcoming pub, is considered one of the best in the city and it is laid out in typical Irish style with lots of little rooms linked by narrow corridors.

If it is just too hot outside on the cobblestones streets, pop into Abbey Theatre for a 5 euro draught pint in the cool a/c. It is refreshing and fun with big screen TVs and tasty bar food. It's a fairly big place with meandering rooms that can accommodate a group. The staff is friendly and service prompt. Have a pint or two then wander out into the cooler Roman night air around Piazza Navona for one of the many wonderful restaurants in the area.

Nice English Pub near Piazza Navona. Friendly staff and good food. We had the mixed cheese plate and chicken wings, both of which were generous and very tasty.

Went in to this lovely little pub to get away from the heat, excellent atmosphere, bar staff were friendly and always very helpful for directions, Rick was chatty and full of banter and was very helpful for directions to the Vatican, came back later for food and they had this great deal on tacos, nice place to drink in

We were so fed up with pizza and pasta while on a 6 day trip to Rome that we were delighted to come across this Irish pub which offered an alternative menu. When we went inside and sat down the waitress tried to move us from a table for 4 to a table for 2 which would be fair enough if the place was packed but as it wasnt we stayed where we were as the tables are quite small and very close together - this certainly didnt please her and she didnt disguise it.We ordered a chicken curry and fish and chips. The fish and chips were ok but the curry just wasnt great and I was disappointed.Overall it wasnt a great or a friendly experience - we are Irish ourselves and certainly expected a better welcome and service in Irish bar.
