Strolling through the small streets of old Rome we passed Casa e Bottega.....

All you dream of when looking for la Dolce Vita. The gorgeous version of Donatella Versace behind the register... the better looking version of Dolce or Gabana making coffee.

....and the panini and pastries??? To die for!!! A must go if you like good food, true love and the sweet life! !!

Over our week in Italy this was most probably the best lunch we had.
Simple, fresh products with a fantastic and friendly service.
Located in a small street just steps away from the crowded piazza Navona.
Definitely worth trying!!!!!

We were in this beautiful place very near to piazza navona and Chiostro del Bramante a week ago.
We wanted to have a Tea and a cake and it was around 7pm.
On the menu there were a lot of homemade cakes.
When we entered, the bartender didn't say hello to us and this is not a thing that you can do if you have a public place...
We waited for the waiter to serve us. When he came, we asked him for what cakes they had and he didn't answer us (or probably he answered so low that we couldn't hear him) and he moved immediately towards the table beside us without waiting for us to order.
So, we kindly asked him to answer our question. He said that they hadn't no cakes on the menu outside but a piece of brownie cake. So we decided to have two teas. They had a large variety of teas in leaves. We ordered and after 15mins (even if the place wasn't not so full) we had our tea.
We went to the cashier to pay for the two teas and the total was 8.00 euros even if in the menu outside the price was 2.00 euros.
We didn't ask any explanation because we were a little bit pissed off about their unkindness.

I would just advice this place to take care of the customers and be clearer about prices since it's very nice and the location is special.
I don't think I'll come back there anyway.

Stumbled on this place trying to avoid eating on the square (plaza) due to high prices. This place was perfect during our visit. One of the few places that had special pricing for lunch combinations. However, we would have gladly paid full price as the food was outstanding! The ambiance was very quaint as well.

Coming back for breakfast in the morning!

Highly recommended.
