“Best I've Ever Had”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

I haven't been to Sicily, but if this is any indication as to how good the cannoli are, I better get packing.
Crunchy, sweet shells, with a touch of powdered sugar. They were light and tasty.
The filling was just sweet enough, but not too heavy. Most of the cannoli I have had both in NYC and in Boston's North End are typically like lead bombs. Not these!
My husband and I got pistachio, hazelnut, and almond. They were out of the nutella, but we would have liked those as well. DELICIOUS. Not far from the Vatican (which is where we came from) and then grabbed a cab back to our hotel. It's about a 15 minute walk from the Vatican, but a pretty one at that. Do not miss this!

“It isn't Sicily, but...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

This delightful little pasticceria, just off the Tiber, is a bit of Sicily in Rome. It's modern, gleaming and immaculate. It's also quite small, with just a few stools and a little bar, but standing around is very Italian anyway. The cannoli were wonderful; crispy shells, made in the traditional way, filled with fresh sweet ricotta cream laced with pistachios, chocolate and/or candied fruit, etc. They also sell delicious torte (cakes), jams and marmalades, oils, wines, gelato and granite, using authentic Sicilian recipes or shipped directly from Sicily. The place is a gem...and addictive!

“Excellent almond milk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

I enjoyed the pistachio cannoli, along with the fresh almond milk advertised at the counter. Would highly recommend! The inside is a bit small (only one table), but it is so delicious it will be gone in a flash!
