“Great value hotel in quiet area”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

This hotel was a little out of town compared to others, but was great value as a result. It was quite easy to get into the city centre by metro or bus, and I would prefer a nice hotel rather than overpriced ones in the centre. It was nice and quiet, had a lovely outdoor seating area where I spent the evenings, and the staff were fantastic. Lovely bedroom, and great breakfast. Recommended.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was in good condition and well- equipped. Nice breakfast.
Our room faced a busy street and the traffic noise was so loud we didn't get much sleep. We had to leave our windows open because it was hot and the air conditioning had not been turned on for the year. Maybe a room on the back of the hotel would have been quieter.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back of the hotel (not facing Via Nomentana)

We stayed for 7 days at the beginning of March, It was a bit difficult to find first time after arriving at Termini despite the instructions given by the hotel regarding bus routes as some don't run on a Sunday. We got a taxi which cost 10 euro much easier.

The hotel is about fifteen minutes out of the centre by number 60 bus (very regular service, buy tickets before riding), this is a very busy service especially at rush hour.

The hotel itself is stylish in a typical Italian way and very welcoming and homely (if you want Hilton/Holiday Inn type style this isn't for you), it is set back from the road, very quiet and the staff all made us feel welcome and valued, ready to answer any questions or advise on restaurants, buses etc.

Our room was quite small but again quite stylish with a small bathroom (toilet very close to the wall and shower my only issue) with housekeeping doing a good job keeping everything up to scratch.

Breakfast was good (again you must judge this bearing in mind the room rates and hotel rating), with ham, cheese, cereals, rolls, cake etc. etc. the usual continental fare. Coffee or English tea on request as is cooked options at additional modest cost.

All in all a great stay at a very good price, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to our friends and family.

Thank you Villa del Parco!

Room Tip: We requested a quiet room and were on the first floor at the side, which was very quiet.

The hotel is quite a distance from the Historical area, but we had no problem jumping on the bus (stop across the street ) and getting wherever we wanted to go. Staff was very courteous and helpful, breakfast (especially the coffee!) was great continental style. Room a bit small and dated, but very comfortable bedding and good size bath. We definitely would stay again if visiting Rome.

I have used this hotel for about three times per year over the last eight years. All were business visits but I always stayed for at least three nights. There are many reasons why I keep going back but the primary one is the staff. There is very little turnover and I always see familiar faces when I first arrive. Nothing is too much for them to do for you and each one is friendly. I think I have stayed in most of the rooms that they have to offer and it is fair to say that there is considerable variety. Some of the bathrooms can be uncomfortably small but are still sufficient. I have never once had cause for complaint relating to the cleanliness of the rooms.
You must remember that this was once a private residence and is therefore limited in the space available for rooms. It might not suit everyone; it suited me, I love the character of the place.
For me, the location is ideal. It is out of the main tourist area yet has good communications links by bus and is about 10 minutes walk from the main Termini station. I was able to walk into the tourist centre within 25 minutes (I am, however, a brisk walker). I have used many of the restaurants in the Via Nomentana area and you will very rarely see a tourist in them. The best ones are well used by the local residents and businesses. My favourites are the Pepe Verde on the viale Gorizia and dal Emilio at the junction of via Dalmazia and corso Trieste. Like the hotel, they do not have a huge staff turnover (family run) and they have been consistently good over the years.

Very conveniently located. All buses are connected well with the important sightseeing spots and we felt that was the best part. Quaint in looks. Up keep is poor and needs attention.
Bathrooms are freshly done but small in size but clean, fresh and linen were white and bright.
Room space also small but needs to be done up but liked the windows which opened to the neighborhood.
The breakfast was a dis appointment but they were clear of what was available on the net itself, so its not a let off.
Very informative Front desk but be sure to pick your bus tickets from the front desk. Use the bus to go to the train terminus and its very very convenient

Room Tip: The AC is put off in the nights since outside temperature falls, so be ready for it. Avoid the roa...

Convenient location, and ok to stay for one night. Unfortunately I did not find this hotel as nice as others have reviewed. The room had not been cleaned thoroughly, with used cutlery accidentally left in the room, which staff did not seem to mind.
Keep in mind there is not lift to go upstairs so you need to carry your luggage yourself.
