“Warm, Friendly and Comfortable”

This hotel was a little hard to find at first. The hotel is very secure and the staff are lovely. They welcomed us with chocolates as well as it's our honeymoon. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Very close to access of the hop on and hop off buses and easy walks to the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain. Breakfast was very good also.

For a 3 night stay in Rome, as a first time visitor, this hotel was perfect. Fantastic location within 15 mins walking distance of literally all the sites (10 mins more for vatican city). Great and helpful staff, who upon arrival drew a map of all focus areas, offered advice for eating out, were extremely lenient with the mini bar charges and let us leave bags there after checking out literally the whole day. Perfect for this price range.

Recommended by a friend and great reviews in a Trip Advisor. A little tricky to find, but has real character, fantastic location for walking, bus and train transport. Very welcoming and helpful staff, good English speakers and comfortable room and reasonable breakfast. Would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: We had room 1 right by reception but we were not at all disturbed by noise. The aircon was quiet.

Our first time in Rome actually, Italy, traveling with great friends that have stayed here before. Hotel is not huge, but super cute, in the heart of the city, close to everything, you can walk to great restaurants where the locals go, ask staff at the hotel, they are great with suggestions and advice as to where to eat like the locals.

We actually came in via train, and the hotel was so close that we walked from the train station to the hotel, we traveled with carry on luggage and a small hand personal item. You have a great place for gelato right by the hotel, and great place for a beer and some light finger food. A couple of blocks down the street we found a great little local place for a light lunch, again, you sit at the counter, but everyone seamed to be locals, not tourist. Good food.

Room Tip: All was great, no negative nor bad experience. Good breakfast included with our stay and great cap...

This is a quirky little hotel - clean and with very helpful staff on reception, who speak several languages including excellent English. The hotel is accessed through a door on the main Via Nazionale, - number 18, where you have to 'buzz' the entrance bell to be let in - quite unlike most hotels.

The room (No 15) was adequate and clean, with a good bathroom en-suite. There was nowhere to sit in comfort though, other than on the bed and there weren't any 'common areas' in the hotel, to sit & relax after walking round the sights all day. The room faces north, so doesn't get direct sun which was good as it didn't heat up too much. However you couldn't sleep with the window open as the noise was too great - so had to close the window & put on air-conditioning (which worked well) Still a bit noisy, but it is in the middle of a big city!

They recommended a restaurant only 300metres away, but on a side street and without a big sign - the Antica Boheme, which was excellent and also advised against walking at night in areas considered 'not safe' for tourists.

Breakfasts were fine - lots of choice, but the fresh fruit was a bit tired.

OK for a short stay - and very well located, but search the address on Google to know where you are going and look out for a big door, with no hotel sign - between the ice-cream parlour/money exchange on one side and the Irish bar on the other.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Via Nazionale will be noisy - not sure what others they have though.

We stayed five nights in Apartment B at the Hotel Cortina on a recent trip to Rome and what a charming a comfortable stay it was. The apartment is around the block from the hotel which is a small boutique hotel in itself charming and full of gracious hospitality. The Apartment was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed its spaciousness, its appointments and the terrace off the bedroom where we had pre-dinner cocktails every night. The staff is most accommodating. Apartment guests receive room service every other day, however if you need anything they provide it to you. You also enjoy their daily breakfast which is included in the rate. The location is perfect...a very short walk to the bus (64 and 40) as well as the Piazza del Repubblica Metro. The Hotel also has a two bedroom, two bath apartment which is perfect for families or two couples. We would highly recommend anyone planning a trip to Rome to consider staying at the Hotel Cortina especially in one of their apartments.

A great place to stay - located on one of the main roads it is central enough to walk to most of the sites of Rome. Close to the railway terminal. And there is a galati shop right outside!
Service is outstanding and staff very helpful and friendly.
Rooms top quality - clean and comfortable.
Very safe.
