We stayed here for one night after arriving from a cruise. It is a good location, a short way from centre but still accessible. The staff were very helpful offering tourist advice. It does take a little bit of finding as it is effectively located above ground level. Look for the flat brass plaque on the wall adjacent to the Irish bar on the corner. The hotel is quirky but charming. The breakfast was very good setting you up for a days sightseeing. The hotel arranged a taxi for us to go to the airport which was convenient and good value. On the way to the airport the taxi driver got a call from the hotel saying I had forgotten to drop the key off. Too busy talking. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Rome as it has a unique feel and centrally located being handy for the Termini station.

We had apartment 3. It's amazing. fully furnished kitchen, wonderful modern apartment, beautiful terrace off the bedroom, wonderful furnishings and nice bathroom. Lots of light, modern decor, quiet and safe. 3rd floor walkup I think which is actually in the beautiful residential building around the corner and down the street but not far from the hotel . GREAT location, close to lots of shopping and restaurants. 5 minute drive by cab to Termini. Great location for ethnic/Indian food in the neighborhood close by. Worth it to have the apartment. Great breakfast in the main building too. Highly recommend the apartment. Staff is very nice and helpful too. Sign on the main building for the hotel is fairly non descript however if you look for the Irish pub on the corner (large and busy) the hotel will be next to it just down a bit. Look for a blue bronze plate on the brick wall that says Hotel Cortina. Go inside the huge doors, walk up the stairs or take the elevator to the 2nd floor to check in. I say this because we walked past it three times before noticing the sign. Building numbers don't help much. Also easy to walk to Via Veneto and the Borghese Park/museum from here. It's really a great location.

Room Tip: apartment 3 if you can get it/afford it. It's very worth it. Info is on their website.

We stayed 7 nights in this hotel, very clean, basic rooms. Central to almost everything, just down the road from Republican Metro & Termini.
Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast is very basic, processed meats, cheese, yoghurt, bread rolls, pastries & apples. Sounds OK, but the same every day without change or variety.
Our room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking the busy Via Nazionale. Windows are double glazed & keep out a lot of the noise, but I would suggest a room at the back where I'm sure it would be quiter.
All in all, from what we saw & from what friends who we're staying elsewhere said, it's not too bad.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back of the hotel.

Our first visit to Rome, during early september, had 5 nights at the hotel Cortina.Without doubt a really terrific recommendation from friends.,which i must pass on.The staff were superbly helpful, without interfering ,from Angelo who greeted us so nicely to everyone who made us feel safe and cared for. This is a small hotel with a genuine team of staff who maintain it with pride ,putting the visitor at the heart ,to ensure everyone is happy.

The location is fantastic about 20-30 minutes walking to the main sights, however there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to explore.Dont worry about references to finding the hotel ,it is easy,it has 2 clear signs. The hotel on the first floor is immaculate, rooms spacious and have great air conditioning ,so quiet day and night ,very unexpected in a busy city street, but so welcome.Lovely bathrooms ,housekeepers did a brilliant job.

Breakfast room lovely and unusual, cosy fittings ,set us up well for the day, nice meeting place for guests.

Our holiday was fantastic, the city ,weather ,sights ,but the accomodation was fabulous ,i would like to thank everyone involved for their assistance ,i very rarely go anywhere twice, but would return without hesitation and urge everyone to look no further ,this is an excellent place

Room Tip: we had rooms 12 and 14 (double and single),completely satisfied

We stayed in one of the hotel's apartments for 4 nights during a very hot August. The temperature was high 30s each day and the apartment's air conditioning worked a treat. We shared the apartment with another couple and there was plenty of room and both of us said it was the best accommodation of our trip. The bedrooms were spacious and so were the 2 bathrooms, the kitchen was well equipped and the Nespresso coffee machine was an added bonus. The lounge area had a large screen TV, note book computer and a docking station for the iPod. The apartment is cleaned every 2 nights and re-stocked with essentials such as tea, coffee, shampoo, toilet paper etc.
The location of this apartment is good with a supermarket very close by and a pub on the corner. You can easily walk to many of Rome's attractions and the main railway station is only a 10 minute walk away. (Hint if arriving by rail walk here as it is very close and the taxi drivers either won't take you or try to charge you €25)
The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. If we visit Rome again this is the place we would stay as we couldn't fault it everything we needed and wanted was all here.
