The Pluses:
- The location is OUTSTANDING. Seriously. It is perfectly situated near the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and the Vatican
- Old European styling in the rooms with soaring 12 foot ceilings and grand staircases
- Easy to find as it is on a main street
- Lots of eateries close by
- Lovely continental breakfast served in the dining area
- OUTSTANDING cappuccino
- Great value for the price

The Negatives:
- The bathroom in our room was desperately in need of a remodel. Probably from the late 80s.
- Slightly noisy with the street traffic (if you find that distracting, which I do not)
- Tired decor in dining area

True, not the best for amenities, service, etc. But, you can't beat the location. Rome is a walking city. You want to be in the center of it all. Sometimes travelers must compromise to enjoy the best experience! This place has good value, plus breakfast....& location.............. Tip...ask for the room on the terrace.

Room Tip: ask for the room on the terrace.

The hotel is right where you want to be in terms of the location. And it did have free WiFi. These are the only good things I can say about this hotel.

The inside of the hotel is tired, the beds have 4 inch mattresses that are OLD, the pillows are OLD and hard as marble, the rooms are spartan. It reminded me of the "old dorm" at college. And that was after changing to a better room! I found soap scum and hair around the bathroom.

The staff are nice but not too helpful. There is no concierge service to help you find a restaurant or sightseeing or get tickets. They just tell you to go on line and do it yourself.

It was too expensive for what you got. If I hadn't paid in advance I would have left immediately.

Hotel location is what makes you stay in the hotel, else hotel has nothing to offer. Room I stayed was small and creepy. Walkway from lift to hotel room was smelly. Breakfast was not good being a four star hotel. I asked hotel reception for a wake up call @3:30 as i had to catch a early morning flight. To my surprise there was no call and when I went to reception person was sleeping.

We were looking for the best location for our purposes in Rome, and we certainly found it with this hotel. One block from the Pantheon and a short walk to Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori. We also walked to the Vatican, which was a nice 20 minute walk. It was close to the tram stop which we needed as well. The room was very large (we were 4 adults) and clean. Bathroom was a bit small, but clean and adequate. We would absolutely stay here again, and reconmmend this hotel to others.
