Hotel king is great for location, and if your visiting Rome you don't spend to much time in your room. However, everyone needs sleep, and the noise within the hotel is crazy! Maids clanging their carts down the MANY steps in the lobby at 4.30am, the crappy air conditionion, the lift that was broken for the entire duration of our stay, the dingy old smelly bathroom, the old horrible hard beds, the wifi that only works on the 3rd floor stairway (so yeah 'free' wifi but you'll have to sit on the steps to get it!) this whole hotel needs a total refurb! Like I said, great for location, but terrible hotel. We stayed here 3 days of our honeymoon (didnt get any offer of an upgrade!) Wouldn't go back.

Good location, bad everything else. Stayed here on the first leg of our honeymoon. Was informed that the A/C just broke (based on earlier reviews, it's been at least a month). Small room, dirty bathroom, uncomfortable bed (our "double" was two singles pushed together) and unapologetic staff. Don't bother with breakfast unless you're into stale bread and old croissants.

5minute walk to the right and your at the top of the Spanish steps, 7 minute walk left and your at the Trevi fountain. Breakfast is included but don't expect an English breakfast, there is hot cold beverages, 1 cereal, 3 types of pastry 1 type of cheese 1type of cold cut , toast nd jams.

Room Tip: 4th floor is a bit of a pain to get to, if you can ask for the 3rd. Book your room on line I used Ve...

The Hotel had a lot of stairs in a long corridor which all of the guests had to carry the bags all the away into an old elevator that was very small. The rooms were very small with some kind of wallpaper full of dust and stains all over the walls there was dust every where, the bathroom didn't had a decent shower its was stuck on the wall our room was 423 and to complete my review the breakfast was horrible, me and my friend ate croissants in the 7 days we spent in the hotel, the bread was hard like it was from yesterday and there weren't any sort of fruit or different cereals that you could choose.
The only good thing in the hotel was the location, its near the subway station Barberini and Via del Tritone wich you can go to see La Fontana di Trevi, also its near the Spanish Steps.

Room Tip: Ask first in the reception about the rooms

When we checked in - we complained about the airconditioning. It's summer in Rome so you could imagine how hot it is there now. The lady in the reception told us - she will transfer us to another room the next day. It was hot and we asked her if she could do something about it- she said to open the windows and doors! Do you do that in hotels? Why not provide an electric fan?

The next day, we asked the man in the reception regarding our transfer and he said it will be the same for the other rooms as well. It will still be hot. He was very rude - he seems mad that we had to complain about our room being hot! It seems that, it was now our problem that the whole hotel did not have an airconditioning. We were supposed to stay for 2 more nights but we checked out right there and then and transferred to a nearby hotel. If theres a score of zero, thats definitely what Im going to give this hotel.

a decent place to stay as a tourist in Rome. It is syuperbly located in a walking distance from the Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon, Piaza Venezia, Piza Espagna etc.
It is not fancy but clean. It needs some renovation but again, its location makes uo for any shortcomings one may see. The breakfast is enough for a morning of walking and enjoying the eternal city.

Room Tip: Any room facing the Via Sistina will do.
