We booked here for our 4 day stay in Rome because it advertised it's roof terrace however this is now unavailable due to the "winter weather". How disappointed we were to have to eat breakfast in a small room with no view.
On a positive note tho' the hotel is 5mins from Terminii and within walking distance to everywhere, it has free Wi-Fi, very friendly and helpful staff and our rooms were made up daily with fresh towels, shower gel etc.

You get what you pay for. Rooms are ok. Location aswell. Very friendly staff.
Breakfast spot and the breakfast itself are at best average. Staircase can be a bit frightening when you walked around Rome the whole day and end up climbing 5 floors.
Overall and OK experience for the money.

Hotel is really nicely located close to Termini train statio which is convenient to go from/to airport and to Designer Outlet Village. Coloseo is within walking distance and you can get to Vatican by metro as the station is 3 minutes away from hotel. Hotel is really basic and you need to be ready. But definitely worth the price. Air conditioning works, bed is really fine and shower is quite good. What else would you need for a city trip.

However breakfast is really poor even for Italy (from my experience breakfasts in Italy have really basic selection). Coffee is awful, I drank a sip and could not drink more. No vegetables and pastry is not tasty at all.

We stayed for 3 nights.

The location of the hotel is both good and bad . We found it wasn't near the tourist areas such as campo de fiori (took on hour walk one night ) which was a negative . However, as it was situated a 5 min walk from the bus terminal and metro it was useful at night as a lot of the buses headed back to the terminal so it made traveling back from the tourist areas but public transport finishes at midnight so we had to be back by then or find ourselfs walking back at night/using a taxi.

The room itself was situated on the fifth floor with NO LIFT so after walking around Rome allday walking up 5 flights of stairs was a challenge also it appeared the hotel was located within an apartment block as we had to open a secure locked door to get out of the hotel , another secure locked door to enter the apartment block and another secure locked door to enter the corridor our room was situated then the room door itself so with all the locked doors we felt safe along with CCTV located on the corridor for the reception to monitor. Maids came everyday to make the bed along with fresh towels which was good for the price we paid. Air con was brilliant at times to cold so couldn't moan at that overall the room was clean and tidy.
The bathroom was basic with a fixed shower head with a small shower cubical which made showering yourself thoroughly difficult even for Averge guy but most are small in Europe.

Breakfast was poor with a choice of 3 different selection of food ( apple croissant , plain brioche rolls or italain cornflakes) .Although there was a wider range of drinks.

Overall for what we paid for the hotel it was ok it's just a place to sleep and eat really ; you have to remember that . Would I stay again not im sure if it was situated nearer the tourist areas such as the campo de fiori or piazza navona then 100% .

Room Tip: Request a room on the first 2 floors if you don't mind a walk

The hotel is not close to a shopping area or any famous sites to see. You must take the metro. The staff are very nice, but the facilities are below average. They have intermitent hot water, which is bad ehen the weather is cold. They have to improve facilities for guests to want tocome back. I wouldn't recommend it.

We were a party of 12 staying at the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were ideal and cleaned each day and towels changed. Location was fine with many shops, bars and cafes in the area. Ideally placed for metro and sightseeing. Complaints there is no lift to top floors, a kettle would have been ideal in the rooms breakfast could have had more selection of cheese and ham. But value for money it's good.

On first encounter, the Hotel Giubileo seemed daunting, this is because we arrived at 11, to be told that check in was not until 2 and that we could leave suitcases in a cupboard near the front desk until then. Nevertheless, after seeing suitcases already in the cupboard, and reading reviews beforehand, we trusted in the fact that our stuff was safe and returned at 2 for our check in, after exploring the Colosseum (a five minute walk away). When we returned our suitcases were perfectly fine, so on the last day because of our evening flight and the fact check out was at 11 we left our suitcases in the cupboard all day. The ability to leave our suitcases again was because we had become friendly with the staff whom always greeted you and had a 'we all trust eachother' policy, the maids even offering to carry up our suitcases on the first day, which was not their job.

The one thing I would advise when visiting Hotel Guibileo is that you should be capable of walking, because the hotel has no disabled access, the top floor being up two flights of stairs. In relation to this however, I would hope that if you were planning a trip to Rome you would be capable of walking since the cities predominant mode of transport is on foot, unless you wish to use the tourist buses or metros (one being located at the end of the street), which can cause the holiday to become rather expensive.

The hotel room provided was clean and spacious, with an extra pillow and thick blanket in the cupboard. The room also contained a fridge, writing desk, a television which we could watch for free and unlimited wi-fi access.

The bathroom maintained the same respectable cleanliness, with the staff providing clean towels (changed daily), soap, shampoo, toilet rolls and shower caps, as well as a hair dryer. The shower caps, depsite the fact that some people may not use them, preferring to tie their hair up came in useful, because the shower head is firmly attached to the wall, so if you plan to body shower the hotel has already catered for your every need.

Hotel Guibileo is a bed and breakfast, which is an extra bonus for such a budget, centrally located hotel. Regarding the cheap price, the breakfast bar is minimal but gives you unlimited food that easily fuels you through the day. The food avaliable was bread, croissants, coco pops and cornflakes and the drink provided was juice (orange/pineapple/red orange), milk, tea and coffee.
