A hotel is a great part of your travel experience that you should enjoy and remember happily ever after- if you pick well! The Artemide Hotel is an easy best choice in Rome.

Once inside the Artemide, you will soon sense your right choice: the building and hotel atmosphere, the staff, the lovely rooms, in-house dining, the extra amenities, wifi, and prices right for mid-town. This means you save time, money and transportation going outside the hotel for the daily basics. The hotel is conveniently located in the safe center of Rome- good to get everywhere else.

Review details:
Returning since 2014, the Artemide was more delightful than I wrote about last time! Once again, Debora greeted us at the desk and Giampiero took charge of our bags- big smiles all around!

The hotel remodel we saw beginning in 2014 is now complete and the designer should receive an “outstanding” award for this project. This mid-size, independent hotel has been re-faced in unique, modern materials in interesting textures, natural colors, gleaming marbles, and rich woods. Drop into the lobby bathrooms and notice the wall treatments and fixtures. Every public area and guest room is executed with the same design genius to update and feature the building’s historic Roman character. It’s all amazing, comfortable, and pleasing to take in!

Whatever your room type, be sure to book breakfast- it is a complete buffet. We recognized Maylene who has greeted guests in the breakfast room for several years now. This is the way to start your day!

The Rooftop bar/restaurant opens for lunch and dinner- make a reservation for dinner as it gets busy because the food is excellent and locals eat here too. Lacra, the Bar Manager, and Valentina, our dinner server, were both engaging and fun! They gave us good advise on the menu- for sure, order the Lasagna and the Fettuccine!

Now about our room. We were celebrating our 40th Anniversary and we were repeat guests. As loyal guests our deluxe room was upgraded to a honeymoon suite as a surprise! Wow! Beautiful large view room at the top with a long deck and outdoor spa tub. Never too old to enjoy special treatment and a bottle of nice wine and a card, compliments of Frederico Pacini, the Manager! And this was all decided before we ever arrived.

This experience could be yours too. The people of this hotel intend that you have an outstanding stay as a guest of the Artemide. You will. Hints: book early, look for specials, return as a loyal guest.

The Artemide Hotel remains my #1 choice to book in Rome.

Dear checkplease01,

What a pleasure to be host of someone who shares our same views on hospitality! And what a joy to know that your stay at the Artemide will be remembered ever after.

We are thrilled to read your kind and enthusiastic words about our staff, location, facilities and service. It’s a great feeling to know that you’ve sensed you’ve made the right choice as soon as you came through the door. But that mustn’t have come as a surprise to you, as you have been staying with us since 2014 and recognized already some familiar faces.

We are happy that you appreciated the final look of the hotel, as you saw it before the renovations. Indeed, a lot of attention was paid to character, charm and prime materials and we are glad you’ve noticed it.

Thank you for recommending our breakfast buffet; with a rich choice of homemade delicacies, served by a friendly team, it would be a shame to miss it. Also, the Ambrosia restaurant is not to be skipped, and it is in fact, wise to book in advance, as we can count on a full room, most evenings.

We couldn’t be happier that you’ve chosen our hotel to spend such a lovely anniversary. It was our absolute pleasure to treat you and we are happy that you had once again an amazing holiday experience.

We are sure we will be welcoming you again for many years to come and we can’t wait to celebrate many more special occasions with you.

Arrivederci!

It's the staff as much as the brilliant location and excellent amenities that make the hotel the best in Rome. After a long and fraught trip from Australia, which included luggage not arriving on my plane; an arrival nearly 3 hours late and a minor medical issue to top it all off, nothing could beat the superb care and attention I received from the staff at Reception throughout my entire stay. This included, but was not limited to, ensuring the driver I had asked to be at the airport to pick me up was still there when I eventually came out, to making sure I was not over charged by the doctor who need to be called after all other avenues had been sourced. All staff are friendly approachable and genuinely caring (not to mention knowledgeable). The hotel rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The restaurant is exceptional and breakfast is a joy, with incredible special offerings every morning of particular delicacies to tempt the appetite. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Rome. My only question is why it has taken me 10 visits to Rome to find this wonderful hotel.

My wife and I just returned from our vacation to Italy. While in Rome, we stayed at Hotel Artemide for our last few days before returning home.
We booked a Deluxe Double and were upgraded as a courtesy. The rooms were spacious, clean and had all the modern conveniences. The hotel is in a great location to see most if not all of the great historic places conveniently.
The breakfasts were included and were excellent.
We were very impressed with the receptionists at the front desk. All were professional, caring and provided all the information that we needed during our stay. However, I would like to single out two of them, namely Valentina and Davide who were, by far, the best of our three week stay in Italy!!!
Would definitely return again and look forward to revisiting this hotel for a second time and Rome for a fourth time.

Room Tip: All rooms were very nice but the Deluxe double offers a little more room for a reasonable price.

a warm wellcome, very cooprative staff, excellent attitude for any request.
room was a DLX one which has enough space and the bath room had a very good walk in shower. facing the inner court contributed to quiteness.

Room Tip: better to take a dlx rate with window to the inner square for quiteness

This was our first trip to Italy and our first hotel after a long flight! To be welcomed by Lorenzo at Hotel Artemide was a great first impression. We opted for the driver to make things easy and stress free from the airport, good call and I'd recommend this to anyone one, worth the $$. The hotel was somewhat modern and very comfortable, you really couldn't ask for a better location, we were able to walk everywhere - what a plus. Finally please try to treat yourself to a massage and facial, it was wonderful, truly wonderful. Hotel Artemide turned out to be perfect for our first stop and hotel in Italy, The other great option was how close the train station was, which worked great as we continued to Florence. Hotel Artemide did not disappoint, well worth every penny!

Room Tip: Walk to Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and more!
