“Great base for walking to the sites”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

We spent four nights in a classic double room with full buffet breakfast included in the rate. Our room was comfortable and clean. We appreciated the free mini bar which was stocked daily with water, juice and light snacks. Also had a good free WiFi connection. Daily breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold options.

Located in Via Nazionale, a lot of the main attractions are in easy walking distance, such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon and Spanish Steps. Other than our trip to the Vatican, we were able to walk everywhere. Also a good selection of restaurants within walking distance around the hotel.

Staff were all helpful and friendly.

We've just returned from a wonderful stay in the Artemide Hotel. Staff friendly, welcoming and nothing too much trouble for them. Breakfast was plentiful and catered to all tastes. The Superior room we booked was spacious, clean and comfortable. Daily-replenished free mini-bar was also a welcome bonus after a long sightseeing day.

Only disappointments were that a) rooftop bar and gym were closed (but I can't mark them down for this, as they notified us of this fact over a month before our stay) and b) that the air conditioning was not on (we were informed it was too early in the year for this, and that March was unseasonably warm - which you can't really argue with!).

Overall, highly recommended.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing Via Nazionale if you are a light sleeper (road is very busy at all hours).

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Artemide for 2 nights during February and we absolutely loved it! I booked this hotel based on all of the reviews I had read on tripadvisor, and the price.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the complimentary minibar is actually true - free everything in it! The included breakfast is really comprehensive and delicious and they offer a wide variety of food, juices, coffee, pastries etc. Everything you could ask for.
The staff and this hotel were friendly and so helpful - nothing was too much trouble. They even dried our coats and jeans after we got drenched in a cloudburst. This hotel would be a perfect choice for anyone who is traveling to Rome and looking for a great place to stay! I would recommend it and definitely stay here again.

I took my wife for a Rome short break for her birthday. I emailed the hotel after booking asking for a quiet room. On arrival we were given a lovely room on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the lovely street. The doors and windows were well double glazed and there was little noise. (Remember this is a city centre hotel).

We booked with Expedia and the rate included a superb buffet style breakfast. My wife was surprised with a bottle of bubbly in our room and at breakfast on her birthday the waitress brought her a beautiful cake and sang happy birthday .

I cannot fault this hotel...don't look any further.

A fantastic hotel situated in an ideal location for visiting the sights and sounds of Rome.

The staff are both helpful and knowledgeable.

There is a decent breakfast spread which is all fresh. Waiters and waitresses are always smiling and helpful.

I'll be back!

We arrived in Rome on the 28/02 for three nights, after a very short walk from Termini station we found ourselves at the hotel, and was greeted with a street map and a smile, we were given two very welcome glasses of Prosecco as a welcome. We were a little early for our room so had a chance to peruse the map and circle where we wanted to go that afternoon. When we got to our room we had been upgraded to a lovely spacious room with a separate sitting area we were facing the courtyard so had very little noise and the bed was the comfiest bed i have ever slept in in fact i miss it still!!.
The hotel is in a great area walking distance to everywhere and we used to finish of the night with a drink in the Irish bar next door and people watch as it was full of some very funny characters. We loved Rome and loved the hotel in fact it is the first time that we have ever thought about going back to the same hotel. And that doesn't have anything to do with the cake they hand out a breakfast honestly!!!!

We could not fault this hotel in any way. Our welcome was superb, and every single member of staff were wonderful. Our room on the third floor at the back, which we had requested as a result of tripadvisor reviews, whilst "compact" was beautifully appointed, excellent decor, very comfortable, absolutely silent - we slept like logs. And the breakfast was worthy of the very best five star hotel, even better than some we could name. Whilst every hotel stay has a value/cost ratio, we felt for the excellent location and excellent facilities, coupled with a very clearly professional management, it was worth every euro we paid.
