I can see why this hotel is rated so highly on Tripadvisor. The location is very central meaning that all the major sights are within easy walking distance. Well appointed comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff, good standard of breakfast and excellent roof top restaurant and bar all make for a great stay. We did have an issue with our original room allocation as booked a superior room and after our first night we were unsure if our room was actually a superior room or just a classic room with bathrobes added as it was far smaller than we had expected & looked identical to the classic room pictured on the hotel website. After querying this the hotel offered us another room which was much bigger and we were able to change with a minimum of fuss.
We ate in Ambrosia, the hotel's rooftop restaurant, on 2 evenings. The menu choice was varied and food very good and not overly expensive (Rome is never going to be a cheap place to eat). The weather was wonderful for our last couple of days so our 2nd meal here was enjoyed on the open air terrace which was a perfect way to spend our last evening in Rome.
We would definitely consider staying at The Artemide again if we return and have no reservation in recommending the hotel.More
