Booked a trip to Rome at the start of September for my partners birthday and the hotel helped to make a perfect trip. We booked a King Double room which was well appointed, a decent size and spotlessly clean on arrival. The complimentary mini-bar proved very useful and was refreshed daily. The staff were great and able to answer all our questions as well as helping with all our other requests (Booking transport, printing tickets). The breakfast buffet had a good selection of tasty items. However, the best feature of the hotel is the location, it is walking distance from the city centre sites (Colosseum, Trevi Fountain etc.) with a metro station at the top of the street for sites further away (Vactican is a 15min ride away).
My partner said it was the best hotel she'd stayed in!

My husband and I are super picky travelers, and I researched hotels in Rome for weeks. This is truly a wonderful hotel in a great location. It was extremely clean, room was a completely fine size, bathroom was modern, staff were really kind and helpful, and we literally walked everywhere during our weeklong stay (except Pompeii ha). I would definitely get a room that includes the buffet breakfast - cappuccinos and freshly squeezed oj were great. I doubt we'd go back to Rome anytime soon since we have lots of places we want to check off our travel list but if we did, we'd stay here. No reason to risk trying out another place since Artemide was exactly what we wanted in a hotel in Rome. Also, being overall underwhelmed with the food in Rome, we tried the rooftop restaurant on the night we returned from Pompeii since we were exhausted. One of the best meals we had on the trip. Pricey but good. Our fave restaurant was Dar Poetta in Trastevere. Went there twice and I got Bufala pizza and the nutella and ricotta calzone for dessert both times. I hear it's not "authentic", but it was delicious and extremely inexpensive with a great atmosphere.

Had read all the reviews on tripadvisor and so glad to have taken their advice. Superb hotel, highly recommended. The little extras such as the complimentary mini bar, sweets for bedtime, tea-making in lounges and complimentary glass of bubbly - lovely. Excellent staff.

Our family of 3 stayed in a triple room in this hotel in 2 weeks ago.
Small compact hotel in the centre of Rome.
Very friendly staff working here.
Most speak English well.
The best staff was the elderly gentleman who greets everyone at the door of the breakfast room.
He makes each guest feel at home and tends to all requests.
Good breakfast spread actually.
They made fresh cakes and fresh ricotta cheese everyday and invited guests to partake.
The room was quiet ,away from the traffic, exactly as requested.
The hotel is near the tourist attractions and walking distance from the Termini, except if you have large suitcases to transport.
Overall-just nice a hotel. Not a luxurious one but suitable.
Davinsan. Malaysian.

Room Tip: It depends on you-for peace and quiet, ask for a room away from the streets.

Stay was 27AUG13 to 01SEP13 .....FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! From the moment of arrival, the staff treated us as royalty. Front desk check in was a breeze and bellhop right there for us. We went straight up to a Beautiful spacious room, great view (on the main street as requested, I'm up all night & loved the "busy-ness") Coffee & mini bar (restocked every day and free!) .....Free Wifi that works effortlessly in-room (biggie in Italy), beds super comfortable and if anything was needed, one phone call and less than thirty seconds later assistance was at the door (kid you not!). A full buffet breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, cheeses, salads, breads, cereals, fruits, yogurts, pastries, fresh juices, did I leave anything out?)..... You name it, was served on the first floor included a fantastic maitre d who's staff serves the best expresso, capicinos and regular coffees. The homemade ricotta cheese staff brings around in a huge round is to die for!!!!. This hotel deserves kudos on every degree. Been to the best hotels in New York , the Artemide is Number One all around in Rome and in travels.... Special Thanks to Valentina, Pino & Alexandro.....best staff in the world!!! Thank You!!!! Note: Artemide Hotel is conveniently located from the Termini (Rail) just remember that the street numbers do not follow any rhyme or reason, so google or use GPS. ;0) Enjoy

Just stayed there for 5 days in sep 2013. Staff are extremely helpful. Room very clean. Good location. I walked everywhere without taking the public transportation or taking taxi. The free restocking mini bar and complimentary sparkling wine on the rooftop bar on the first day are good. Definitely go with the breakfast. The only suggestion is not to book through Expedia or any other booking sites as you may not get the best room. However, this is pretty common practice. I would book with the hotel directly. Moreover, get a room bigger than the single room as the European single room is very small to North American standard. I would definitely go back.

This is my second visit to Rome & after experiencing a below standard 3 star hotel last time, I was very selective this time around. I read many reviews on Trip Advisor & after careful consideration, chose Hotel Artemide. It has not disappointed....I'm glad I took the advise I read.
Briefly the hotel comprises of a lovely clean reception, attentive & helpful receptionists, 2 relaxing lounge areas, one with large flat screen tv, free tea & coffee, newspapers available to browse daily; a business room with Internet access & printer. Also roof top terrace, restaurant & bar.
Bedroom - we stayed in room 203. Classical decor throughout which works in this hotel but overall it is clean and pretty spacious by European city standards & especially compared to the last Rome hotel I stayed in. Features include air con, mini bar (which we had full & free access to), free WiFi, tea & coffee facilities, TV. Clean, crisp white bed linen changed daily.
Bathroom - spacious, marble tiled with large mirror inc. separate magnified vanity mirror for the ladies. Clean, fresh white towels, other features include hair dryer, complimentary slippers, plenty of consumables replenished daily such as hand soap, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. Also little extras like shower cap, shoe shine sponge, vanity pack (nail file, cotton buds, tissues).
Breakfast - we stayed on a bed & breakfast basis. Plenty of choice from chopped fresh fruits, cereals, yogurts, pastries & cakes, cold meats & cheeses, fresh bread & toast, cooked food such as scrambled egg, boiled egg, bacon, sausage, beans, chopped boiled potatoes plus large selection of fresh juices, teas & coffee.
Whilst this hotel is slightly off the main high tourist footfall areas of Trevi, Pantheon, etc don't be put off, everything is in easy walking distance from this hotel's location. Bare in mind that the areas described above are extremely hectic day & night, so its good to walk away from them!..We worked out that everything we wanted to see was easily within 1 or 1.5 mile walking distance. Get a pass for one of the many hop on hop off buses if you fancy taking it easy or are going to the Vatican. This hotel is well worth it and will enhance your trip to Rome.
