My husband and I spent three nights in Rome and had reserved a deluxe triple room as a friend of mine was joining us in Rome at the Artemide Hotel. On our arrival we were each given a voucher for a glass of Proseco at the rooftop bar. This was definitely the finest hotel we stayed at during our entire trip to Italy. The room was larage and well appointed and included a mini bar which was restocked each day. The bathroom and shower were large and well stocked with toiletries that were very tastefully presented There was also a beautiful plate of fresh fruit in the room, various biscuits and snacks and a kettle to make our own tea or coffee. All the staff members we encountered were very courteous and extremely helpful. This hotel is very conveniently located to the train station and provides easy access to all the historic sights in Rome, either on foot or by the Metro. Even though it is in a very busy part of Rome this hotel is an absolute haven from your days travels. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome.

what can I say about this hotel that hasn't been said many times before? This is a lovely hotel about 10 min walk from the station terminal (Termini) in the busy Via Nazionale. As mentioned before it is also about a 15 min walk from the main historical city centre.

This is a lovely 4 star hotel. We had booked a 3 bed room and were given a free upgrade to a very nice room on the 5th floor at the back of the hotel. You may think the back of a hotel is not a great place to be, but Via Nazionale is a very busy, noisy street and we were very happy with the location of our room. We were also given tourist maps of the city with sites circled for us, we were given a voucher for a free Proseco in the rooftop bar and 30% off vouchers for the rooftop restaurant.

The room was a twin with a bed setee, which was made up with a proper divan mattress and was comfortable according to the person who slept on it, however the room was a little small, but for a central Rome hotel was not too bad.

The room decor was attractive. There is a fridge with some free bar accessories like bottled water, a couple of cans of beer, a large can of coke a can of orange and a couple of juices. It's not the usual mini bar but was very welcome, especially as it saved us having to buy water every day and was nice to have a cool drink when we got back in the afternoon. There is also a kettle with a generous supply of coffee, tea and biscuits, which were also very welcome at the end of a hot and tiring day siteseeing.

The room has a safe, which in our room anyway was a bit temperamental, but we managed, and at least we didn't have to pay as we have in other 4 star hotels.

The bathroom was very nice and generously supplied with shampoo, bath foam etc. it was a nice touch that as there were three of us in the room, there were actually supplies for three people!! Slippers and bath robes were also supplied (also 3 of each - what a surprise). Towels were changed every day.

The only issue with the room and the reason I haven't given 5 stars was the lack of storage. There were no drawers, and the cupboard was small with a definite lack of hangers, if we had been staying for longer than 4 days, we would have had problems, there was also nowhere to store our suitcases.

The breakfast room was nice and bright and welcoming, the staff quick and efficient, as well as friendly, we only once had to wait a short time for a table. Breakfast is good, with a good selection of cold buffet, cereals, fruit, juices (especially the freshly squeezed orange juice which even in some otherwise very good hotels is packet) as well as hot food and salad. With a reasonable mix of bread and rolls. There was a waiter constantly going round making sure there were enough plates etc. and refreshing the food as it was depleted.

We ate in the rooftop restaurant one evening and enjoyed it very much the staff again were friendly and welcoming, the service was good and the meal was nice. We used the 30% off vouchers which we were given on our arrival at the hotel which helped!

We also had drinks one afternoon on the rooftop terrace, a little expensive but a very pleasant experience, although we never got around to using the vouchers for a free drink we had also been given.

This really is a very nice hotel and the staff were all very friendly and helpful, it was a very pleasant experience and we would be very happy to stay here again at some point in the future.

I have only good things to say about this hotel. A bottle of Chianti was placed in the room on our arrival and my birthday was marked with an excellent bottle of wine courtesy of the management. Food was tip top and better than that experienced in recommended restaurants. The service was nothing short of excelent at all times and I wouldn't hesitate to advise fellow travellers to use this hotel when next visiting Rome

Room Tip: Superior room is worth the extra money

We had a lovely stay here. The facilities were fantastic. We enjoyed the complementary mini bar which was restocked everyday.Breakfast was lovely and so was the sauna. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The roof top bar was lovely. We were treated to a complementary bottle of wine in our room. We also enjoyed the complementary prosecco in the roof top bar which we had on arrival. No complaints. We have happy memories of Rome thanks to this hotel.

Room Tip: as with most hotels in Italy, you have to pay quite a premium to get a good room.we paid extra but s...

Awesome hotel! From the moment we checked in and were invited to the rooftop deck for champagne upon arrival (because our room was not ready), we felt really at ease by the incredible staff. The rooms are small, but elegant. The rooms face an inner courtyard, which makes you forget that you are in a very busy area of downtown Rome. Upon walking out of the front door, you are thrust into the reality of a very bustling area during the day. Lots of shops, for shopping and large amounts of bars and restaurants. The Artemide is in a perfect spot. If you like to walk, you could literally walk the entire city from here. I truly enjoyed my time here and hope to do it again very soon!

We spent four days in Rome, staying here in comfort and a great location. The hotel was charming with delightful touches which made us feel welcome in a variety of ways. The rooms were very well equipped with almost everything you could want - an unusual touch to have a kettle in a hotel room on the continent, but very much appreciated! Also a well stocked minibar which was included in the room rate. breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, including a variety of homemade cakes and on the Sunday morning a waiter offered us freshly made ricotta cheese to try.

We worked in the rooftop restaurant (see Nick E's review) which was very pleasant although on retrospect perhaps a glass of prosecco isn't the best accompaniment to a work session..... The waiters were attentive without being intrusive, as indeed were all the staff. Taxis were ordered and appeared within the three minutes we were told we would have to wait.

The evening meal we ate in the restaurant was of high quality - the lobster dish I ate was wonderful!

I would visit again if I wanted a city centre hotel with comfort, good food and a relaxing atmosphere

Very comfortable hotel with clean rooms, great firm bed and good quality linens.Staff polite and helpful in suggesting places to eat, calling taxis, etc. Rooftop restaurant and bar were comfortable to be in with good service. Breakfast caters for all tastes and is served until 10.30 for those of us who are not early risers. Would stay again and recommend to others. Rooms compact and a bit dark so wouldn't want to spend much time in it but why would you in Rome? Very efficiently soundproofed.

Room Tip: Superior rooms are slightly larger and have courtyard view.
