My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel over new year. The location couldn't be more perfect !!! It's a five minute walk to the main stretch by the Colosseum. We had a deluxe room in the main building. The room was fairly small but was really nice ! There is a huge TV on the wall and good wardrobe space. The bathroom was great ! The bed was disappointing though as it was two single beds pushed together which wasn't very comfy. Surely if advertised there would be a 'double' bed in the room this is what should have been there, not two single beds pushed together with a double sheet over it to disguise it. This meant we had hardly any slept over the three days we were there.

Also, the walls are extremely thin so you can hear the neighbours walking around which is a pain, especialy late at night .

There are lots of shops and restaurants's nearby . The majority of the attractions are of walking distance from the hotel .

The employees at this hotel were extremely nice and very helpful. The breakfast was very good and there was plenty of food to choose from.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Rome. However, the bed situation would make this hotel a lot better.

But overall this is a great hotel with a great location and i would stay here again :)

Room Tip: Choose to stay in the main building

One of the better hotels i have stayed on. Nice room. A little small, but cosy and well maintained. Nice staff and good breakfast. If i get to rome again, i'll stay there. Location of the hotel is good. Close to Termini and to the colosseum. And close to the Metro. If you dare.

I for one am harder to please than most and am quite accustomed to certain amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms quite nice. Great location! So close to Colosseum and metro station. My only grumble and its a small one is that I wish the showers were a bit larger. Ladies, you will find it somewhat tricky to shave your legs standing straight up in a narrow shower. Overall this was quite pleasing and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My daughter and I spent 4 days at the Hotel Duca d'Alba in January and we couldn't have been happier with our hotel choice. The hotel is small, quaint and beautifully decorated. The staff is inpecable and friendly. They were helpful with everything from incredible restaurant recommendations, reservations to museums, transportation tips and more. The breakfast is wonderful with many options from eggs and bacon, meat and cheese, fruit, a wide selection of breads and rolls and juices and coffees. The location is awesome. You are literally less than two blocks from the Collisium in a very nice neighborhood. There is an incredible restaurant that the hotel recommend4ed - La Carbonarra that is less than five minutes from the hotel which was the unbelievably good! The metro station is a stones throw away and is just one stop from the major train station. Our trip was amazing and this is due in part to our wonderful experience at the Duca D'Alba Hotel.

We came to Rome for our wedding anniversary, so wanted it to be special and it really was. There is a direct shuttle bus to the door of the hotel from Fiumicino for 15 euros so finding it was no problem at all. The staff on reception were very helpful throughout the stay. They recommended a lovely place to eat less than 5 mins walk from the hotel, definitely not a tourist trap as we were the only ones in there not speaking Italian! We found our room in the annex to be immaculate, modern and although compact had enough space to live in comfortably. Plenty of room in the shower and the bed in a double room is huge! The wifi worked fine, perhaps other users who had problems with it were connected to the wrong one. The room was very warm, but the air con worked its magic and it was nice to have the window open at night. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. Location is absolutely amazing, we walked everywhere and nothing was really very far away - metro, ice cream and ancient Rome practically on the doorstep! Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Rome and recommended it to anyone.

We moved into these apartments after paying 300 euro per night for similar ones. These were offering breakfast and accomodation for three for 250, so we jumped at the chance. This is a great area to stay in if visiting Rome, the restaurants and ambient buzz can't be beaten. The management were considerate and professional.
