“Great, conveniente and very reasonable hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014

We stayed here for one night in December. The room was small, but with a high celiino, so it did not feel claustrophobic at all. Lovely, clean little room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great, staff were friendly and helpful, and the price was rock bottom. Also, the hotel is very close to the train station, but in a nice little neighborhood with good bars and restaurants. Would definately stay here again.

When we made the reservation in person several days earlier, we asked about a transfer from Ciampino and were told that it would be 55 Euros. On our return, we realized that the pick-up was priced much higher than a taxi and not a good value. The price was the same as for pick-up from Fiumicino, which is further away.

Room Tip: We had a street-facing room, but it was very quiet with nice, thick window glass.

We stayed for 8 nights over the Christmas period and had a great time, as has been said in other reviews, the rooms aren't huge, but it was big enough for us.

The location is wonderful, we walked everywhere, everything you'd want to see is less than an hours walk and the main train station is 5 minutes away.
There's no restaurant in the hotel, they offer an extensive and generous buffet breakfast, but no other meals, there's no fridge or kettle in the rooms which is a shame, but they do a reasonably priced room service for drinks.

As others have mentioned, Tony, the concierge, is the highlight of this hotel, welcoming, charming, always ready with recommendations for lunch or an evening meal, you'll recognise him easily, distinguished, impeccably dressed, a real gentlemen.

All in all, highly recommended, we'll go again next time we're in Rom.

Dera Mr Robert,

Thank you for your comment. We are glad to hear that your stay in our hotel was pleasant. Even Tony, who reads his comments and our reply, thanked her personally.
We hope that your comment is appreciated even by those who are planning a trip to Rome.
For his next visit do not forget to ask us a superior room (more spacious than the standard room) that will give you the same price of a standard room.

Looking forward to see you again wish you all the best for the year just begun.

We stayed 4 nights. The location is great if you want to visit the city mostly by foot. The reception is on the 1st floor without lift hence not ideal for everybody. Reception personnel very friendly. The room was pretty small and humid but clean. Breakfast pretty vary but the bread was not what you would expect. There must be better desls for the same price in Rome. I guess in the Xmas and New Year period prices go up a lot.. In another season the price would be too high for what you get.

We stayed at the Lirico with our children and had a nice stay. The location relatively close to Termini (primary train station in Rome) was very convenient and easy walking distance to several restaurants. The breakafast was good and the service was outstanding. Tony at the front desk was franky the highlight of our stay and he was very gracious and recommended some very appropriate dining choices that we greatly enjoyed. The rooms are fine for the money, but pretty modest, so do not expect too much in that regard. Instead, spend the time out enjoying Rome!!!

Room Tip: I would suggest working with management to find the room that best fits your needs. There are seve...

This hotel was ideal for us during our 3 days in Rome in September. The room was roomy and comfortable with a nice view down the side street. An added bonus was some filming being done at the Opera House the first night we were there. Tony's suggestions hit the spot with good restaurant selections. Breakfast was adequate for our needs. We would certainly stay there again.
The hotel had a very homely feel and staff assisted us with ticketing and vouchers without any hassles.

A few weeks ago we had a really pleasant stay in Lirico Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the location convienient, near to the Termini station with also some good restaurants nearby. The room was cozy, clean and warm. The only think that went wrong is when they removed our pillow cases but didn't replaced them the same day(but the next one)because they were out.Breakfast could have a wider variety, i believe , but the quality was excellent. Also the last day of our stay, after we checked out they stored our laggage so we can go for a last walk before our flight. We really appreciated that.I would recommend it.

Excellent location for sightseeing. This hotel is only 10 minutes from bus/railway station on foot. Easy to walk to all the major sights from here also. Staff were always very helpful and friendly. Lots of variety at breakfast, plus good coffee. Value for money was excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the opera house - the view at night is stunning.
