I stayed for two nights over the Easter Weekend. The location was great for exploration of the ancient Roman sites. The Forum and Palatino are just across the road; the Colosseum a short 5 minute stroll and Circus Massimo a little further. I had a single room which was clean and comfortable. I was in room 211 which was facing the side street and across from a bar. It was a little noisy so I couldn't leave the bedroom window open, fortunately I'm a sound sleeper so wasn't disturbed too much but others may find it a bit too loud.

The staff were very friendly and attentive which made my stay relaxed and enjoyable. The WiFi in the room was disappointing. The signal was weak and kept dropping out, although the signal strength was good in the hotel reception, lounge area.

I had a drink in the hotel's rooftop bar. The view was great but the glass of wine a bit pricey, €12

I enjoyed my time at the Hotel Forum and would recommend it others.

The place is located just right across the Forum - a real convenience. The staffs are very friendly and always try to answer our questions politely. The room we stayed though had major issue with foul smell from the bathroom. It appeared that the drainage is not on par and the foul smell came from sewage. We told the staffs about that and there wasn't much they could do.
So overall, if you don't care about your bathroom constantly smell no matter whether you open the window or not, then it is a great place, but for us, the smell is just too much.

Just checked out after 3 nights at the Forum Hotel in Rome.

Superb location for exiting the forum, circus and the colosseum etc. can't fault that.

Stayed in room 218/219 as a family and it's getting tired. Sunken lumpy mattresses and very squeaky wooden bed frames (even just moving a leg!). Rooms big and bathrooms big but grouting looking black and old shower curtains a bit mingy for 400 euro a night.

Breakfast service good and happy but limited choice. Eggs in fat or water was a surcharge - 4 Stars? No!.

Roof top bar one special place but only open from 5pm - Mojitos to die for! Don't expect lunchtime coffee up there from the restaurant - restaurant service only in the restaurant.

The location of the hotel is really marvellous and unique!
We are really sorry that you didn't enjoy the rooms and if we would have been advised we would have changed the rooms.
The american buffet breakfast served in the Roof Garden is included of eggs and water and there is no extra charge.
The breakfast service begins at 7.00am and ends at 11.00am; after that there is the preparation of the restaurant for the lunch.

We booked this hotel because of its central location. All the sights were within an easy walking distance. The free wifi was most welcome as it meant that I was able to book cars and trips from the comfort of our room.
We never tried the hotel restaurant as it seemed somewhat overpriced at what would have amounted to about £100 per couple each evening. There are two very good local restaurants, recommended by the hotel staff within a stone's throw.

Room Tip: Room 201 has a good view of the Forum

We stayed here with some friends while we did the Rome Marathon. The staff are a real asset to this hotel. The location is fantastic, right on the Forum and 2 minutes from the Coliseum. The rooms are small but perfectly good. There is WiFi in the rooms too. Would stay here again

We stayed for 5 nights courtesy of a Groupon deal at £360 in breakfast. Staff and service was very friendly and obliging, we followed restaurant recommendations and these were very good indeed. This was the ideal type of hotel for us as we do not like being waited on hand and foot which usually comes with the feeling of being watched all the time, the service was polite and reserved but they were always there to help when needed.
Value for us was exceptional but we were looking for a good deal, which this was, for us the full room rate would have been beyond our budget but this does not mean it would not be good value.
Despite being at the front of the hotel the windows were extremely effective in keeping noise out. We did have the window open most nights and there was quite a lot of noise but this is what I was expecting with a city centre hotel, if you wish tranquillity then you stay 10miles out.
Room was spotless albeit they are "city size rooms but again exactly what I was expecting for a city hotel squeezed into a medieval convent. Decor throughout was very traditional and kept to a very high standard. Things like travel adaptors were available free from reception.
Our daily breakfast in the rooftop restaurant was high quality with a very good choice of hot and cold, the pastries were to die for. The hotel location is second to none and we will long remember sipping coffee whilst looking out directly onto the Forum and Panatine Hill. We did not have dinner in the restaurant as the price was easily 3 times that of other restaurants in the locality and we actually prefer walking out to sample the local Trattorias of which there are many.
The hotel was not bristling with additional features but for us this was certainly not what we were looking for and I suspect most others would be the same in that after an exhausting day sightseeing a good shower and a comfy bed would be highest on the list.
A great break, we really could not have hoped for better. Thank you Hotel Forum, we will undoubtedly struggle to find better.

Room Tip: If you are fussy speak to the hotel directly, they are most obliging and will try their best I am su...

Stayed for 4 nights in mid February. My party occupied 2 rooms at opposite ends of the same floor. Wifi was not working in both rooms despite repeated reports to the front desk. Wifi could only be accessed from the hotel lobby or rooftop restaurant. Except for one concierge staff, the rest of the front desk staff were indifferent and impersonal. The hotel ambience was old world Europe though it felt like the drapes and upholstery could use some vacuuming due to a moldy smell. Good location.
