This lovely hotel is recently refurbished and lovely bar and restaurant area somewhat different from normal Hilton. Fast wifi, comfortable rooms, our with balcony, and a great breakfast selection. Breakfast is not typically italian, but make sure to order your coffee from the waiter rather than the machine. Lovely pastries and cook your own waffles. We had a few nightcaps in the bar and had delightful service. The staff were outstanding from our greeting, until check-out.
Check out the mozzarella bar around the corner for flavour sensations.
The hotel is a short stoll to borghese gardens - a stunning open space full of interesting statues, arenas and fountains. It's a 15 minute walk through the gardens to the spectacular views from the top of Piazza del Popolo - not to be missed!
Hotel is a 55 euro trip to and from the airport - 40 mins away.
I would highly recommend this - the rather vanilla Hilton brand has managed to sit comfortably in a lovely quiet Roman suburb, without leaving you thinking you could be anywhere. It is not in the centre of things, but convenient to get everywhere in a short time, and it's rather nice to escape from the crowds.
I would definitely go back for work or leisure.More
