This was not what i expected. Old. Stinky room with bad aircondition. Breakfast medium. Not so close to center. You have to climb up at the end o via venetto and tiring after the hole day. Not a four star hotel.

Good hotel overall, however we had some water leaking into our room and instead of being moved to another room, we had to put a bucket under the dripping. The room was spacious, the bathroom was nice but the air conditioner sucked! We could not regulate it - the temperature is set up by the hotel. We asked them to lower the temperature and they said they had to call someone to come to the hotel to do it. This person never came or they never bother to reset the temperature.

Overall, it was a good stay.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in September. Great location but I can't understand how it boasts a 4-star rating as it's more like a B&B. The room was very small with two single beds pushed together which makes for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was served on the top floor of the hotel each morning but unfortunately the best thing about it was the beautfull views. The hotel did not even serve dinner or snacks of any kind and had no atmosphere whatsoever. Sadly I do not have anything good to say about this hotel and we will never return. We will research hotels before booking in future and put this one down as a ' Lesson Learned' for future booking. Lucky for us we had lots of restaurants just two minutes walk from the hotel.

This hotel has a great location just a few minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and is relatively cheap, but next time I would spend a few more dollars and stay in an nicer hotel. The rooms were small with a weak air conditioning (the first room we were in had a fan in it) and was not that clean.

My wife and I asked to change rooms after the first night and moved to a slightly better room, but there's no way this hotel is a 4-star.

The buffet breakfast is a decent, typical Italian meal (good food, but is nothing spectacular) and is on the top floor of the hotel so there's a great view.

The staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful, but the quality of the rooms is lacking.

Very convenient location within easy walking distance of all the main attractions of Rome, with a great view of the Vatican from the breakfast room.Reasonably priced, clean and functional it was a good base for business and leisure. Helpful reception staff. I had a room on 5th floor with a pretty balcony looking out over the Villa Borghese, which was very pleasant, although the shutter doors needed a health warning as difficult to open without cutting your fingers. The decor was a little battered, but the bed ad armchair were comfortable. There was a decent strength wi-fi signal (unlike the luxury hotel down the road where our meeting took place).

Room Tip: Rooms 501-505 look out on the Villa borghese side. 506-510 just look at the building opposite. Buy w...

The Eliseo Hotel is located in the North West section of tourist Rome. Across from the Borghese Gardens, 5 mins from the Spanish steps and 10 mins from the Trevi fountain, you cannot get better when it comes to location. The rooms are fine - really you don't spend much time there - but could use renovation. I had a room on the 4th fl with old carpeting and peeling wallpaper. My friend had a room on the 2nd fl with hardwood floors and a flat screen TV. So it seems maybe they are 1/2 way finished with the renovation? Breakfast is ok - larger than the typical Italian fare of coffee and a pastry, but nothing great. I ended up eating fruit and yogurt and popping around the corner for a good Italian coffee. The front desk staff is very helpful and will arrange anything you need. With room rates as high as they are in Rome, I'd stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room with hard wood floors.

Don't be tempted by the price or location - NO REAL MONEY TO VALUE
Tiny rooms, 2 single beds joined as 1 queen,no real A/C and the location is good but you still have to walk up and down the Spanish stairs all the time (you can use the metro elevator as well) but still is a tilted walk to the hotel.

I wouldn't rate this hotel as 4 stars hotel ever - you get a key, not a key card, but an actual key which is not easy to get around with and if you forget it in your room or wherever that is a big deal!

BUT THE WORST are the beds: if you are a couple and you sleep in the same bed - this is not your hotel. They will give you 2 single beds that are pushed together to have 1 queen bed and this WILL hurt your back - cause you will be sunk between the gap of the beds all the time - not fun at all !!!

You have been warned !
