Staff is very accomendating, efficient and customer service oriented. Location is within a short distance from major attactions and offers many luxury features in their rooms.
Not unusual, rooms are on the small side, but hotel is quiet and away from high traffic areas. Bathrooms are spacious, but need more light for shaving and make up.
Front desk staff and bartender are exceptional!

My husband and I just returned from a week in Rome and had an AMAZING time! Hotel Barocco is wonderful. Stop researching. I spent hours and weeks looking for a great place to stay and I found it! Everything you read about Hotel Barocco is true- Great rooms, amazing breakfast, helpful staff, great location, and very clean rooms. If we ever come back to Rome, we will definitely be staying here!

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of August 2010. The room was updated with a modern roomy bathroom. The bedroom itself was quite small (but up to European standards), Breakfast was mainly cold cuts and fruit. It is conveniently located half a mile from the Spanish steps and 1 mile from Trevi Fountain. Very accessible to the majority of popular locations.
My only complaint was the A/C. There was only 1 setting (since the hotel closed off the higher setting). It was kinda muggy and warm especially after a shower.....
I would recommend this to a friend if they are visiting Rome for a night or 2 only!

The Hotel Barocco was a charming hotel for a two night stay in Rome! Great location, close to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps, both beautiful sites. Our room was very large, and the rooms quiet, not at all what I expected, and would make a long stay quite enjoyable. The beds are heavenly, a tempurpedic memory foam that let me sleep like a baby! The morning of our departure the hotel arranged for a driver who was on time and professional. The service staff is excellent, accommodating all our request. Oh, and the free breakfast is amazing, typical Italian fare, including meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, etc. All in the most beautiful display. I would definitely return to this hotel!

We stayed in Rome before leaving for the Amalfi Coast. Excellent staff and the mattresses were soft and comfortable. Close to many attractions and will set up airport pick ups. Loved the fruit and breakfast in the morning.

First time in Rome. The hotel met and exceeded the recommendation of our Travel Agent. It has recently undergone a total renovation and the results are amazing. Wonderful stonework throughout. Our king sized bed was ample and the linens luxurious. The service was superb throughout our stay and the personal services of Danielle and Michelle were greatly appreciated.

We had two important requirements for our hotel in Rome - good location for sightseeing and good air conditioning, since we were visiting in August. This hotel had both. Spacious bathrooms with rainfall showers - definitely didn't expect that. Good sized room with very comfortable bed. Room was "tidied" pretty much every time we left the hotel, which was unexpected. Very friendly staff. Breakfast wasn't anything to shout about, but it was good enough. Good location right off one of the metro train lines at the Piazza Bernini. Just about any direction you walk you ran into amazing sights, shopping, and food. Couldn't have asked for a better value. I warn you against visiting in August, though, because it was so very hot. We are pretty tough travelers, but we still took a mid-day break each day to escape the heat. There is a reason the pope leaves Rome in August - it's HOT. Wireless internet is available for a reasonable fee. We were there for three days so made use of the 15 hours (cumulative, not consecutive) for 15 euros. It only charges you for the time you're online, and it was helpful for those last minute things you want to check into (how late is xyz open, what's the best way to get there, reviews for a restaurant you walked past, etc). Make sure to go to http://www.ilgelatodisancrispino.it/ (San Crispina Gelateria) as often as you can while there. Short walk, and the most amazing gelato you'll fine. Also, if you're going on a vatican tour we recommend www.7hillstours.it (7 Hills Tours).
