“A very enjoyable stay”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

After an extensive review of Rome hotels we decided to book the Barocco for our first visit to Rome based on location and reviews at tripadvisor. What a great decision that was. This hotel is located so close to all the many wonderful sites to see in Rome that it made our walkabouts easy in all four directions from the hotel. Our rooms were very comfortable ( the bed especially ) quite and well appointed.
The staff took great care of us arranging cars, tours and restaurant reservations, all exceeding our expectations. They arranged a last minute private tour of the Vatican on a Saturday when the tickets were sold-out and it was the highlight of our trip. The breakfast buffet and great wait-staff started our day perfectly. We booked the deluxe rooms and they surprised us with an upgrade to a suite! We will return here without question! Thank you everyone at Hotel Barrocco!

My son and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Barocco. I had really struggled about what area and hotel to stay in prior to our trip. I saw all of the areas I had considered and realized this was the best! 5-10 minutes to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Lots of restaurants close-by and Osteria Barberini is 30 seconds up the road. We had a delicious dinner the night we arrived. We took the Green Line hop on, hop off bus that is located just around the corner and it was a great way to see the main areas in Rome. We took taxis a couple of times and they were very reasonable. The service at Hotel Barocco was better than we could have asked for, our room was small but very, very comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is to provide complimentary bottled water in the room. The breakfast is the best that I have experienced in any hotel ever. Thanks so much to everyone at Hotel Barocco.

We stayed in the annex, which we found very comfortable. Clean, spacious, and nice touches. What others have said before about the staff here I have to echo...they were great, very helpful and particularly a nice welcome experience to Italy. Hotel is nicely located...you can walk to many of the places you will want to go see, and on top of that, the metro is about as close as you can get, plus there are a line of taxis practically across the street.

Just came back from an amazing experience in Rome. After researching hotels, we chose this one, and we are so glad we did. The staff were great! Very welcoming. We even got a free room upgrade on one of the rooms. We stayed in deluxe rooms and had a suite. The rooms were beautiful, and, fortunately, temperature controlled because it was unseasonably warm. The rooms were comfortable, especially the beds. The hotel is located on a busy plaza, but the rooms were quiet. The plaza was actually a convenience because there is both a metro stop and a taxi stand right there. It was within walking distance of many of the major sights and, when it wasn't, it was easy to get where you wanted to go (except for the crazy Roman traffic!). The breakfast was awesome. Everything showed personal attention. They even made designs in the foam on our morning cups of cappucino! Highly recommended.

The Barocco Hotel was the second stop on our honeymoon and was a perfect followup from our quiet location in Amalfi. The location was prime for walking to just about any attraction or restaurant. The staff and room accomodations met and surpassed our expectations. They even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne on our last night! Overall, I would highly recommend Barocco.

I have been to Rome many times but this hotel was the best I had stayed at. Great breakfast with a selection of buffet and freshly cooked food. The annex was well appointed, it was quiet which was amazing given the location. The hotel is near the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain, opposite a metro station. It is easy to access the hotel from the airport, to Termini then 2 stops on the metro. There are some very nice restaurants near the hotel.

The Barocco Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel in the center of Rome. Great central location. We were able to walk to many restaurants, museums and archeological sites. We spent 3 nights there, the staff and service were excellent. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Enjoyed each day there.
