3 minutes walk from the Trevi fountain and opposite a Metro station and open top tour bus stop, the Barocco is an excellent Hotel for exploring Rome. The staff are extremely helpful and speak good English. Our room was very comfortable with the management adding personal touches like fresh fruit, flowers, complimentary water and cookies daily. The breakfast buffet was complimentary with an extensive choice of hot and cold foods, and the Hotel offers its own bar area. Many restaurants, bars, pizzerias and gelaterias are within 100-200 yards. We would not hesitate to stay here again for our next Rome visit.

Room Tip: Understand some rooms are smaller. Ask for a bigger one, like # 48!

We had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Barocco. From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional and continued through the end of our stay. The highlights of this hotel: 1) really good location, right next to Piazza Barberini, walking distance from most of the major sights and right next to the metro 2) AMAZINGLY comfortable beds and pillows - all of the beds / pillows are made with memory foam and it was seriously the most comfortable bed I slept in for our entire vacation. 3) AWESOME breakfast. Seriously a 5 star breakfast - with everything you could possibly want: cereals, yogurts and the standard stuff but also hot drinks, omelettes, etc -- all included/complimentary! 4) Great service. The last morning of our stay we had to leave before breakfast opened (breakfast opens at 7am, we had to leave at 6:45am to catch our flight). So the hotel manager brought up a little breakfast tray for us the night before with yogurt, juice, and a few cakes/pastries. This saved us from starving since we didn't get to eat again until we were on the plane! (that was also complimentary - which was great). 5) The room is 100% renovated, the bathroom is great. Some minor inconveniences -- but keep in mind these are super minor and really didn't detract from our stay: 1) The rooms are small. There isn't much space in the room beyond the bed and bathroom - we ended up stepping over our luggage. But the room is so nice we didn't care all that much. 2) The wifi (which is free - and super fast) requires that you have a different username and password for every device - the hotel will give you as many as you need but every time your device goes idle you have to re-log-in again. But other than those two things, we loved this hotel. We'd definitely come back and stay if we are in Rome again!

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was cleaned each morning and then tidied again each afternoon. On our first day we found a bowl of fruit in our room, later in the week we found a bottle of wine waiting for us and on our last evening we were provided with biscuits. The buffet breakfast was superb and catered for all tastes. The hotel is in walking distance to all amenities including buses, taxis and the Metro. If you are planning a trip to Rome we suggest you chose the Hotel Barocco you'll not be disappointed!

We stayed at the Hotel Barocco for 4 nights before our cruise 2 weeks ago. We had a Jr Suite and our son and his wife had a double room. Everything about this hotel is 1st class, from the staff, to the rooms, the breakfast buffet to the location. There is nothing we wanted for while we were staying here. We were within walking distance to many sites as well as the Metro, the bus and the Hoho bus stop. The two Fabios as well as Sophie and Daniella were all pleasant and spoke English very well. They were always helpful, especially when we were heading out and needed directions or the name of a good restaurant. We would not hesitate to come back to Hotel Barocco again.... I threw many coins into the Trevi Fountain to assure that we do come back again!'!! Everything is right there at Barberini ..... unfortunately the Fountain de Tritone is still being worked on, or the stay would have been perfect.... (Not the hotel's fault of course). Guess we'll just have to come back and stay at another time!!! Thanks again to everyone at Hotel Barocco who made our stay so memorable!! The Kelleys

Room Tip: Unfortunately, we did not visit the fitness center or the swimming pool, so I can not comment on the...

Wow! From the minute we walked into this Hotel the service by all staff has been exceptional! We requested a room with a city view which thankfully we didn't get...because they upgraded us to a deluxe suite instead! The rooms were cleaned daily to perfection, beds comfortable, and we were even greeted by surprise biscuits on our last night! The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and close to the tour meeting points. Even their Trainee Staff member Daniella went above and beyond to make sure our stay in Rome was amazing! Couldn't speak more highly of this Hotel- STAY HERE!

The bottom line to me is would I go back or look elsewhere for my next adventure in Rome. Answer- I would go back.

Let's start with great location, sweet and accommodating staff, reasonable prices and nice room.

We really had two stays. This was first stop on 11 day trip. Rome and this hotel were four nights to start. We booked a smaller room. We did have issues that caused me to think three stars. Internet wireless drops connections with annoying regularity. Drain in shower was slow and never fixed during stay. Mattress so so. AC never quite cold enough.

But staff was so ice about our issues. They really tried.

That's the bad

The good far outweighed the bad.

The good included excellent breakfast. Great location. Great staff.

Our second stay was one night before we flew home. As a make nice for first stay issue, they upgraded us to room 43 with an incredible outdoor patio with an outdoor bath and great views. I feel like the gesture was over the top nice. All in all, I would say this was a very nice hotel.

Booked two rooms for one night after our cruise. Great stay at this hotel. Check in was easy and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and luxuriant. Bathrooms large and well appointed. Easy access to the metro put you at the Colosseum or other great Roman sites in a snap. Well within walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps and we stumbled upon the Quirinal Palace completely because we were lost!
Breakfast was included but did not partake as we had to leave early for the airport.
Incidentally, right around the corner is the Capuccin Crypt- a bit of a quirky and morbid display of bones, but our teenage boys thought it was cool.
