This was our first trip,to Rome and wanted a good quality hotel in the centre. We looked at the reviews and chose this hotel. We weren't disappointed and it lived up to expectations. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always willing to help with any query or request you have. The hotel is immaculate and very clean, with a nice lounge, bar and breakfast room. The breakfast is excellent and they do a hot option, cooked to order if you wish. We had a Superior Room (no 45) and it was just like the photographs and quiet too. All in all, a lovely stay and we would recommend it.

Room Tip: It's worth going for the superior room

We were here a year ago and again this year. Still excellent! Rooms are very comfortable and definitely clean, especially the bathrooms. This round, the room we had was a little larger than the previous one, so that was great. Love the service. Everyone is so warm and friendly. Absolutely helpful too - from assisting us with restaurant bookings, giving directions and suggestions. Breakfast is good too. Homely setting for the meal. All in all, it's like a home away from home. Will be back.

This is a charming little hotel. The location is not far from the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The staff is extremely helpful with maps, directions and making dinner reservations for us as well as answering all our questions. The morning breakfasts are included and lovely. Our room wasn't available till after 1:00 pm so we left our luggage with the staff and strolled around the area till it was ready. The taxi stand is just across the street which is convenient. Our bed was very comfy and the bathroom was quite large. Wifi is included as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our room faced a street which was a bit noisy so I would ask for a room away from the street.

We decided to book this hotel based on reviews from other guests, and we were not disappointed. Hotel Barocco had a very good location for our purpose, and the staff was very helpful and guided us through Rome so that we could experience all of Rome's attractions. The staff organized our visit by booking tickets to the attractions we wanted to see and visit, and the staff was very helpful finding a good restaurant to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. The restaurant selected was Crispi 19 which offered excellent food abd drinks. We will for sure choose Hotel Barocco also on a later occasion.

We have been staying at the Barocco since 2003. We love everything about this hotel, especially the warm and gracious hospitality we receive. It is very comforting to have the same wonderful Staff greet you and make you feel at home, and be attentive to anything you need! The rooms are extremely comfortable and spotless, and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. The hotel is perfectly located in Rome for all sightseeing. And you can trust the staff to recommend the best restaurants in the area, especially the Antica Trattoria Tritone for the best authentic cuisine and good value (and per our tradition we were there recently on 5/22/2013 and it was just as great as it always is). We eat there every time we're in town and always have the best time and food. We heartily recommend this hotel to anyone booking in Rome, it is the epitome of a small, exquisite hotel that you will love.

Room Tip: Every room is good!

I selected the hotel based on Trip Dvisor reviews and was not disappointed. The room was excellent and the staff could not have been more pleasant. The location is great, the breakfast wonderful, so when in Rome, the Barocco it is !

I have spent many nights in Rome hotels and I can testify that it is a major project to find a good hotel at a central location and a descent price among the 1200+ hotels this city has to offer. Barocco hotel is indeed one that stands apart from the others and if it would be priced better I would say it would be in a category of its own.
The best feature in the hotel is the service level, which is not something to take for granted in Italy, in general, and specifically in Rome. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the attention of the staff is immediate and courteous and breakfast is a feast. They even have umbrellas at the lobby for you to take in case of rain and not to mention the fruit and cookies they have for you in the room.
The hotel is situated at a central location within a short walking distance to most of the major sites in historical Rome. It is a small hotel nicely decorated which gives you a homely feeling. The rooms are quite big (for Rome) although I would not consider them spacious compared to American hotels/motels. Bathroom is quite modern and more than adequately furnished. The only problem which might concern some is that the elevator does not reach all floors and you can find yourself going up, or down, some stairs. If this is a problem make sure to request the right room when doing the reservation.
We stayed in the hotel for two night in May and enjoyed it very much. I am quite sure that we will stay here again when we return to Rome.

Room Tip: If going up or down a small number of steps is a problem or an issue, make sure to reserve the rooms...
