This small boutique hotel offered us the quiet, relaxing environment we wanted for our first trip to Rome. The room was lovely, with a terrace and a very comfortable bed, we slept well after our long flight and walks during the day. Staff was attentive, but not intrusive and arranged taxis and provided excellent recommendations for local, high end restaurants that we could walk to. Close to Borghese Gardens, we walked daily in the beautiful park. Lots of stairs, which kept us in Shape, although there is an elevator at the hotel. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and stayed here five nights. Our experience was wonderful and we want to go back and bring our family with us! D & C

Room Tip: The suite has a bit more room and a terrace with a view, but the standard sized rooms are just as go...

I stayed at this hotel with my husband the week before Christmas. We are members of the small luxury hotels of the world group and we booked this hotel through them. Like all these hotels this one is perfect. The staff are attentive but not intrusive, nothing is too much trouble. Our room was lovely, with a walk in closet and marble bathroom. The furnishing were very luxurious and we felt like we were being spoilt....like one should be on holiday! We had the buffet breakfast each day, which was varied and sufficient to set us up for the day. The coffee was the best I have ever tasted. The restaurant was a little pricey but the food was wonderful. A small bar serves really good wines and provided us with the perfect place for a night cap. All the main attractions were a short taxi ride away or a 20 minute walk through a beautiful park. The hotel orders a taxi whenever one is needed and they arrive within minutes. There is so much to see in Rome that we set off each morning and did not return to the hotel until late. It is a hotel which will suit couples, it's very relaxing place and we would stay there agin if we went back to Rome.

This small luxury hotel is situated in a smart residential area to the north of the city. The building is art deco in style. All the rooms are elegantly furnished. Our room was large and opened out onto a quiet terrace. The complimentary buffet breakfast was very good offering a range of food both hot and cold.

The biggest thing the hotel has going for it is its staff. Every one (and there seemed to be an abundance), unfailingly courteous and helpful, friendly and welcoming.

It is a 15/20 minute stroll to the centre of Rome (but be aware that the terrain is not flat), through the villa Borghese gardens, or a 10Euro taxi ride.

The location of the hotel next to the Borghese gardens is perfect for couples looking for a quiet and green place. We enjoyed strolling every day in the gardens for 15 minutes to Piazza Del Popolo and from there to any of the Rome's main attractions and tourists sites.
The hotel is very nice, the rooms spacious and well decorated, and the breakfast was ok.
The hotel seemed however understaffed, and although the staff was very kind, they lacked initiative and competence. The internet wasn't working in our room, and despite the fact that we constantly requested someone to fix it, no one ever bothered to do it or even contact us for a feedback regarding this matter during all our stay. It is also not recommended to ask them for sightseeing advice or restaurant recommendations, as we almost ended up one night in a deserted restaurant in the middle of nowhere based on the front desk recommendation

It isn't in the centre of Rome but you aren't far away. Near the Borghese Gardens this small boutique hotel is on a quiet street in a quiet residential area. The rooms are large and the staff is welcoming and special. The restaurant downstairs has wonderful food and the owner dines there every night he is in the hotel. Now that it is discovered we won't stay anywhere else in Rome.

I felt like I was walking into a palace! And then was treated ROYALLY. The Hotel is a stunning boutique hotel - close to the lavish gardens. The staff was extremely helpful in fulfilling all our needs.

We have been staying at the Lord Byron for many years and it never ever disappoints.
If you are looking for Shrager edgy, then this is not the place for you. If, however, you prefer art deco glamour, comfort and perfect service, then look no further.

Set in a calm location yet near to many 'must visit' places e.g. Villa Giulia, the Modern Art Gallery, Borghese Gallery and the Parco della Musica if you fancy a concert, a 20 minute walk through the Borghese Gardens gets you to Piazza Popolo.

At the end of a hard days slog, returning to the Lord Byron is a great pleasure, and a trip to the glamorous bar before going out in the evening is a must . Rooms are well equipped and comfortable with large beds and top quality bed linen. Rooms are serviced twice daily. Some rooms, not sure how many, have outside space.

The thing that makes this hotel outstanding, however, is the quality of the service. Everyone, just seems to want to ensure all guests are not only happy, but exquisitely happy. It takes many years of team building and great staff to be able to deliver this kind of service. An example of this was a waiter at breakfast who deftly jumped in to help serve a young guest who was about to grab a handful of food from a bowl on the buffet. It was the kind of service that was absent in a hotel in which we recently stayed, where young children trailed their hands all over the breakfast stuff every morning.

The fact that this hotel has been an is still all been overseen by the 'proprieter manager' must be this hotel's secret.

Room Tip: Some rooms have an outside space which is a great bonus in a city hotel. Ask
