“Feels like home”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

We have just spend another 3 nights at the Lord Byron and thoroughly enjoyed it once again. The linen on the beds is so soft. We were very glad the air conditioning worked so well seeing it was about 40 degrees outside! The rooms are well designed with the Art Deco theme being very welcoming. The walk across the park to the Spanish Steps is always a good start to a day.

What a wonderful find. A quiet location, but within easy reach of the centre. A masterclass in how a hotel should be run for discerning travellers. The room was elegant and spacious and the staff could not have been more charming or helpful. It made our recent trip to Rome complete and we shall definitely return.

just stayed at Lord Byron 3 days ago and it is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy Rome! it is not right in the center of activities but we had a car and parking near the hotel was free and a breeze. Going in the center is really easy as well and parking was never a problem (actually it is easier during the week-ends when Romans go away).
You could also rent a bike from one of the outlets 5 min away in the parc of the Villa Borghese and that would be great as well to go around.
Very nicely decorated room; everything perfectly Art Deco and very very nice art pieces everywhere; nice breakfast, very comfortable beds, nice bathrooms...
Located 5 min from the Gallery of Modern Art which is fantastic in a city full of fantastic sites; very few people inside but have an incredible collection with 2 Van Gogh (and nobody looking at them...), Modigliani, Bussoni, Klee...and no need to queue anywhere.
Fantastic!
One thing

They are trying- having read the other reviews- its an art deco hotel with nice features- we changed to a room with balcony- its a neighbourhood feeling- but foodwise and to go the extra mile- im a bit reluctant- you must love taxi or a long trip to the park

Far and away my FAVORITE hotel in Rome is the Lord Byron! I've been staying there for more than 20 years and Amadeo, the owner/proprieter could not be more helpful and accomodating. It is a small hotel in a residential neighborhood - not sure how many rooms - maybe 28? We were there with three other couples a month ago and everyone loved staying there. It is just above the Villa Borghese park, quiet, intimate, old world and only slighty more expensive than the big name hotels where most people stay. Small bar, nice restaurant, great food. Love it! Best hotel in Rome

Room Tip: All are quiet and nice.

This hotel is an amazing find. Its is an elegant respite from the frenetics of Rome yet minutes from the center of the old city. Its Art Deco elegance is the best of old world luxury and current amenities. The staff is delightful while exceedingly professional. The dining room, bar, and salon are intimate and refined. And the neighborhood of Parioli is filled with wonderful restaurants most withing walking distance to the hotel. Its also walking distance to the Borghese Gardens (Rome's Central Park). We can hardly wait to return!

Our 4-night stay at the Lord Byron was outstanding in every respect. The room was large, even by American standards, and luxuriously appointed. The walk-in closet was a pleasant surprise. The all-marble bathroom met every need. Service is consistently outstanding - from the front desk to housekeeping, room-service and restaurant. The restaurant provided a gourmet dining experience that remains one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel is located in a quiet, upscale residential neighborhood of Rome, a few kilometers from city center. Taxis are readily available.
