For many years the Lord Byron has been our preferred stay in Rome and it continues to get better and better. Sumptuous art deco interior and a collection of stunning furniture from this era, but the most impressive feature of the hotel lies with the level of welcoming and efficient
service provided by the staff in all departments. Our room was spacious and elegant - perfect for settling down in a comfortable environment.

The hotel has a new chef this year. He provides an interesting menu of well presented Italian dishes in the elegant restaurant. Breakfast, included in the room price, is a superior buffet one. Water and soft drinks are provided in room mini bars, as is WiFi.

The hotel owner, Sig. Ottaviani is a hands-on owner/manager who is proud of his hotel - it shows.

If you are looking for something a little different - a true Boutique small hotel - or a fan of the art deco period - consider this hotel. Its a small establishment - in a quiet district of Rome - north of the Spanish Steps - a pleasant 15 minute stroll through a park. Helpful staff speak (at least) English as well as Italian, and arranged an airport transfer, restaurant recommendations and reservations, taxis, car hire, and a birthday cake - all without fuss.

Room was a good size, with marble bathroom. Spotlessly clean, with complimentary soft drinks and water (replaced twice a day) and free wifi. Other hotels take note!

We had great breakfasts and an evening meal at the hotel - all charming.

It's a quiet hotel, in a quiet neighbourhood - and if the walk through the park doesn't appeal, then most of the sites are a short taxi ride away. You are the right side of town for the new concert venue (Auditorium) and stadium too.

Our room suffered a little from plumbing noises, and a few mornings the staff were busy cleaning and repairing before 9am, but minor issues. The hotel doesn't have much outdoor space - a quiet drink in the gardens would have been a perfect end to hot days - but the bar at the Modern Art museum is 5 mins away!

We stayed at Lord Byron for 5 nights in August. We opted for hotel airport pickup as we were on a late flight. Cost 70 euros but was worth it. Although late at night the welcome was friendly and check in was swift. Our room was spacious and beautiful. Complimentary soft drinks/water and Internet was appreciated. We didn't have lunch or dinner at the hotel. We were told that everything is a short walk through the Borghese park so we decided to walk first day but gave up due to the heat. We decided to use taxis everyday. The hotel staff ordered cabs for you and usually didn't have to wait for long. One early evening the taxi meter had already clocked up €8.50 as the taxi came from a distance. This didn't bother us but it may to some. Service was fantastic
from all staff including the lone staff member at breakfast time. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Had the priviledge of spending 5 nights with my family at this property. We took 3 rooms all of which were unique and well appointed.
While it is a beautiful building in a great location (adjacent to Borghese Park in a very upscale quiet residential neighborhood of Rome) - the most memorable aspect was the impecable service. Under the ever watchful eye of the owners , the entire staff from the bellman , the front desk staff , waiters , housekeeping , etc - were probably the best and most accommodating I've ever experienced. The owner should give lessons to the luxury hotel chains on how to properly run a hotel ! Free breakfast , minibar and wifi were all greatly appreciated amenities.

I stayed here way back in January 2008. It was my first time trying out a boutique hotel of this sort, and although it was very charming, it put me off the whole boutique hotel experience. The rooms were TINY, the television was from the days of my grandfather, the walls were paper thin, room service was a joke, and the bathroom door wasn't even a door- it was some sliding thing that didn't close properly (did I mention the bathroom was also tiny?) But as I said, the hotel is charming. I liked its location, I enjoyed just going for a stroll with my husband (then boyfriend) and exploring the areas around. The restaurant in the hotel was very nice, and we enjoyed a romantic meal there. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Other travelers may like it here, but this was certainly not the place for me.

After 3 nonstop days in Paris with our children, it was nice to slow down and enjoy a bit that Rome has to offer. My wife researched our accommodations, and we all agreed the Hotel Lord Byron far exceeded our expectations. The friendliness of the staff upon our arrival, the actual room accommodations, and it's location within the city made our stay that much more relaxing. One point worth mentioning, is to not miss enjoying one evening dining within the hotel, as the atmosphere, food, and service were second to none.

Overall, a very nice hotel quietly located in a very nice location.
