Fantastic hotel. Rooms, spa, pools, fitness centre all first rate. Extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast, even full English. I travelled with three older children and we were given interconnecting rooms with balconies overlooking the zoo. We saw zebra one morning! I expected the staff to be aloof, but we found them all to be friendly and helpful which was a surprise after reading some of the reviews. I will definitely return.

Beautiful hotel beside the park. Unfortunatly we were so busy we did not get to use the spa as much as we would have like to. The Spa was just fantastic so relaxing in the pool area(inside) and the Jacussies were wonderful. The outside pool was beautiful as was the weather so restful after a busy day sight seeing. The bedrooms were lovely and the bed linen was excellent and lovely touches to the room. Breakdfast had everything I would want great variety of foods and drinks. A short walk downhill though a beautiful park to the spanish steps need to like walking as we do, as not in the city centre. The park is beautiful and cool for a walk about -10-15 to spanish steps but we took taxi back as usually went out in the evening to eat and did not fancy the walk back. Would love to go back again another time.

This is a truly first class hotel with fine rooms, elegantly furnished, a magnificent pool, a terrace (with an awning) view of the Villa Borghese and the Vatican, a breakfast to die for, and, best of all, first class service. It is not in the old center of Rome or on the Metro so taxis may be required.

Room Tip: Get a room on the Villa Borghese side, third floor or higher.

We stayed here for the last two days of our honeymoon to the amalfi coast. We were very dissappointed. The staff was so unfriendly and unhelpful, it was shocking. This was the only hotel that did not acknowledge our honeymoon with a bottle of preseco or even a congratulatons. We asked the front desk for restuarant recommendations for our last night in Italy by the Vatican and were told "there are lots of restaurants there you will find one." The location is not central and the hotel needs a renovation, it is cheesy and dated. We did go to the pool one afternoon and never got offered drinks or a menu or anything, so service was severly lacking! We asked to use the internet and were told for 9euros per day we could use wifi!? This was again the only hotel out of 4 that we stayed where we couldnt get free wifi. Rome is a big city we have no clue why our travel agent booked us here - its definitely NOT for young couples.

This hotel is fantastic if you are in Rome when it's hot! Fantastic outdoor pool that we lived next too after sight seeing in the mornings. Good poolside food. The rom was well equipt with really really great block out blinds that keep me, who is normally an early riser, sleeping till 9am some mornings, lovely big bed, clean rooms. Only negative would be Internet is quite expensive

Lets start with the good feature - on the first day the doorman was very nice and helpful. Unfortunatley he was not on duty again during our stay.
The hotel was very tacky with superfical glitz . Also the lavatory had nasty yellow stains in it
The main concern was that many charges were excessive and/or not declared. When we book and when we checked in the higher costs for subsequent nights were not explained to us. Secondly the cost of parking was 35 euros perday and the cost of the internet was 10 eauros per hour. Breakfast was extra.

We recently got stuck for 4 days in Rome due to the Hurricane in New York. My fiance's concierge recommended we stay at this hotel, so not trusting European hotels (at decent prices) we went to visit before we booked and instantly fell in love. This hotel is perfect, although it is not located within the hustle of Rome it is a quick cab ride to anywhere (example:10 min to Vatican). What the hotel website doesn't tell you is the underground 7 star spa! It is breathtaking. They have an indoor pool -free to hotel guests- that is unreal you have to see it to believe it. I can go on and on but will stop here. I will recommend this hotel to ANYONE I know going to Rome.
