We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Our room was small but lovely and they did give us an upgrade to a room with a terrace which I asked for and loved. The staff was friendly but just that and the concierge services was just Okay. While they had some fabulous recommendations, they also had some mediocre more touristy recommendations as well, at a high price. It was clear that they had their "list" and didn't deviate too much from it and weren't that familiar with some of the restaurants on "our" list. The food for breakfast was just fair and the menu was somewhat limited. This was a lovely hotel all-in-all but I am not sure that it is quite 5 star. I do think however that given the price, you can't go wrong here.

Thank you for your posting and glad that overall you enjoyed your experience with us though sorry to read comments about our Concierge. Have to say we do in fact have a list of reccomended restaurants, more though to ensure that each has been scrutinised and approuved in order to avoid sending our Guests to places we do not know or do not feel comfortable with. This said of course there are always margins of improvements and will ensure to expand. With kindest regards from the Eternal City and we do hope to see you on you next trip,

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience! The client service aspect was great, room was clean, staff was very nice and polite and a few even spoke french!!! They remembered our name after 1 day... Special thanks to David who was the nicest of them all: I had an upgrade and it was wonderful: I highly recommand the art deco rooms. Bathroom was big and clean. I would go back again. Absolutely!( this hotel definetely looks like a five star)

Good points:

- nice staff accommodating of requests
- great location 5 mins from Harry's Bar/ Spanish Steps and therefore ideal for a relaxing break as opposed to full on sightseeing trip
- part of Relais Chateaux group so good for the 5Cs
- our (almost) best restaurant of Rome is right next door

Not so good:

- 'gym' is infact a room with 3 basic machines
- no real spa when website gives a different impression
- breakfast was good but not 5 star as choice was more limited than the top end 5 star brekkies but then again they do often include it in the rate so you can't have it all!

Overall I would stay here again even though there are more nicely refurbished hotels like the Principi and for better prices due to it's more vibrant location.

Dear Guest, thank you for your positive comments. Just as a comment to the minuses section.., I woul dlike to inform that in case on our buffet breakfast there are not items you are looking for, we do also offer a very extensive a la carte option. Just a though for the next time we will hopefully have the chance to welcome you.

Really excellent hotel worth the five star rating. Lovely quiet room with plenty of space (by European standards) and tasteful decor. Room had everything. We found all the staff terrific - from the chambermaids, to the breakfast staff and the reception desk. They were happy to help with everything - they had the wi fi code in my hand before I finished the request and sent me off with a huge wad of tissues when I had a massive allergic reaction just before leaving. Location is good - although it's up the hill on via veneto it's actually only 5 or 6 minutes (walking) from the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain and perhaps 15 minutes from the Forum, and having stayed in the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo areas before I honestly thought the Baglioni was much better value for money. Breakfast is also terrific - delicious, unlimited fresh food available until 11 am (especially good if you've been travelling and need to sleep in) and good coffee not left in a pot to stew! Only negative really was that the bar / restaurant isn't open on a Sunday night which was a bit annoying although to be fair you can get room service and they do tell you it isn't open in the guest information. Also we weren't able to access the roof terrace. I'd gotten the wrong end of the stick (my fault) and thought it was generally open to guests but it isn't - it's apparently for suites and private functions. They should open it up though (at the Baglioni in Florence there's a bar on the roof terrace) - I think if we'd been able to access it I would be calling this hotel perfect.

Realising 3 days wasn't enough in Rome, i'm already planning my next trip to the Eternal City.
I wanted to write a review here about the immpecable service provided by the staff, having been slightly let down by a "luxury" 5 star hotel in Florence. The bed is divine. Good breakfast. Will be returning in the future. Walk to the Spanish steps and Gallery Borghese all walkable.

Having just returned to the UK after a 5 day trip to Rome I cannot speak highly enough about the Regina Baglioni. From the moment we arrived on the evening to our departure the hotel offered outstanding service to my mother and myself. On arrival we were met by a friendly team of staff and our twin room was beautiful and of an excellent standard. We took advantage of the room service and the hotel bar/ restaurant and were impressed by the service and the quality of the food .if you are wanting to have an indulgent and 5 star break in the centre of the beautiful city of Rome then the Baglioni is the place to stay. We were in walking distance of the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain and manged to combine the fantasitc sight seeing with the total relaxation that the hotel offered. A fabulous holiday and a definite return to this beautiful hotel is planned. Thank you.

Room Tip: Deluxe suites are excellent and very spacious
