I travelled with my family and reserved two rooms. The rooms were furnished elegantly and comfortable. The breakfast was very good including fresh fruits. The location isn't central but very near to the metro station and just one station from termini. We left early in the morning and they brought us breakfast one night before, including kettle to prepare warm drinks, fruits and jams and pastry. It was very nice.Free WIFI and on the 3rd floor the connection was fine. I certainly will come back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms near the staff service room are noisy in the early morning.

We chose this hotel based on online reviews for a three day stay in May. We were extremely pleased in every way! It compared favorably with many 5-star hotels we've enjoyed all over Europe - our room was large and very nicely decorated and I loved all the beautiful painted ceilings. Breakfast was delicious. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Canada to our most discerning friends!!!

I have rarely experienced such a good experience in a hotel. In one sentence, the best hotel experience I had so far. Loved it, would go back anytime. Very good service from a super friendly staff.
Thanks to everyone

We were very happy with the hotel. We also picked it based on reviews written here and were not disappointed. In particular we were happy with the quad room which nicely accommodated our family of four. We had a king sized bed in a lovely room with historical touches and the kids each had their own twin bed in an anteroom. Everything was very clean. The price was very good. The breakfast buffet is decent. Everyone speaks very good English and strives to be helpful. My issue was the location which is near the train station (good for some) but not near the heart of the city. Also, I agree that knowing about needing to pay the city tax in cash in advance would have been helpful. We were leaving Italy that day and trying to keep as little Euro in our pocket as possible and still get to the airport.

I would highly recommend the hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return.

This is a wonderful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness was heartwarming and we were made to feel very welcome. The rooms are clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and very well-maintained. The hotel does not have a restaurant but serves a wide variety of delicious, breakfast foods both hot and cold. The lounge area is very comfortable and the barstaff does a great job serving very reasonably priced drinks along with a selection of free snacks, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. There are a variety of good quality, reasonably priced restaurants very close by if eating out in the evening. The hotel is ideally located for sight-seeing with the subway and buses close by and the main Termini about a ten minute walk. Outside Termini is where to catch the city tour, open-topped buses which offer a hop on/hop off service to all the major sights of Rome and is a great way to explore the city. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return. George, Rhona, Lucy and Suzie C

We spent a while looking for a good hotel to spend our first ever four days in Rome (including our two teenagers). We picked Hotel Canada based on reviews written here and were not disappointed. The hotel were very happy to arrange a double and a twin next to each other. Booking process was easy. When we arrived, the staff on reception welcomed us and spoke excellent English. The rooms are not huge, but big enough and they are extremely well maintained, albeit in an older style. The lounge area was very comfortable, with friendly bar staff and reasonably priced drinks. There's no restaurant other than for breakfast but literally dozens of restaurants within minute or two's walk. One evening we had cheese toasties in the bar - very simple but very pleasant and we came back to the lounge for ice creams after eating out every evening. The bar offered free bar snacks (nuts, crisps, cheese, quiche, etc) every night and this was constantly replenished.
Rooms and public areas have air conditioning and free wifi.
In all, an excellent stay. We would definitely return.

Good hotel, close to subway and many visitor sites. Breakfast included. Buffet is very nice and service is great. Front desk staff all helpful. Nice clean rooms. City tax of 2Euro per person per night must be paid in cash so that was inconvenient.
