Staying here for almost a full week with my kids, we were impressed by the size of the room (#322), the size of the bathroom, the tasteful decor, and the quietest air conditioning ever! Kids were sequestered to smaller area with twin beds but A/C took a while to circulate to their area. Quiet b/c of the distance from the elevator, not many visitors booked on my floor and double-glazed windows. Awesome showers. BIG breakfasts with lots of selection if you arrive before 9:30 am in July. I honestly didn't have to have a lunch as I stuffed myself with croissants, cakes, scrambled eggs, artichokes, etc. [Fresh fruit wasn't so fresh though.] Massimo, who took your tea/coffee order always had a kind smile on his face and staff worked quickly in the small breakfast room. The lovely housekeeper always greeted me and my children with a genuine smile. Vittorio (?) at the front desk was awesome as he told us to take the #85 which starts/stops nearby at Piazza Independenza and goes on a scenic route by Via Corso, the Colloseum and S. Giovanni in Laterno/S and discussed other bus routes as well. (Children under 10 yrs can ride public transit for free!) As I have young children, the hotel location is quite far to walk to all the sites (if you are 5 yrs old walking in 30 C temperatures) and a bit seedy near Termini Station but riding the subway (Station Castro Pretoria very close by) was no better as it was highly crowded and not air-conditioned sometimes. We had some trouble with the WiFi initially and one large fellow at reception wasn't super-helpful and gave us a phone number to contact for service support but luckily the WiFi worked itself out the next day. I have to admit that booking 2 months in advance gave us a price of 155E per night for a family of 4 but when I booked 3 weeks later to add days, the price jumped to 255E per night SO this hotel is fantastic if you can get yourself a good quote. We would definitely come back if we could get a lower quote per night.

Room Tip: Room 322 was relatively quiet and away from the elevator but outside noise pervades if windows are o...

We have visited the Best Western Canada twice in the last three years and surprisingly the staff remembered us. The hotel is a good value with many local restaurants around the corner. It is not close to many attractions, but you will find that is true in Rome. This hotel is close to a bus and metro stop which we utilized all the time. The rooms were clean and modern. We had two adults and two teens (16 and 17) in the room and had plenty of space. The room was large for a European hotel. It was a good value and the staff was excellent.

Our room was lovely. It was spacious and well decorated. An excellent bed. It was however noisy. The noise does travel between floors, and from the street. I did ask for a room away from the lifts, but we found ourselves right by the lift. The lift is absolutely gorgeous, it is 100 years old and ever so quaint. The breakfast room was unable to cope with the numbers of people and there was a line up every morning. The staff were doing their best to keep up. Consequently the breakfast choice was very ordinary. Some of the reception staff could learn a thing or two about greeting customers from Arber. He was attentive and very funny. We were sorry that he wasn't there when we left. Aman the bar man was also excellent. He was fun and enthusiastic. The location of the hotel is excellent and we felt we did get value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lift.

We had a great stay at this hotel the last week of July. The front desk staff was so welcoming at all times, and so friendly!
The location of the hotel is very convenient to the train station and also a Metro station which can get you to most of the rest of Rome. We ended up walking to a lot of attractions, and loved running across little charming plazas, stores, restaurants that we would not have seen from the Metro, a taxi, a bus.
Our room was great - plenty of room for the 4 of us, with 1 large bed and 2 twins. The room had a lot of amenities and it had a large bathroom.
The breakfast offered every morning was plentiful, with meats, cheese, breads, homemade pastries, and fruit. Massimo made us fresh coffee to order every morning, and I miss his smile and welcoming attitude...and his great cappuccinos with the hearts! Roberto handled the bar at night, and he was so welcoming with cool drinks and great treats (sausage, chips, cheese, nuts, etc), which was great after a long day of walking around Rome on some very hot days!
The front desk was also so helpful - both Arber and Rafaa were so nice and helpful in different ways, whether it be a good recommendation for a restaurant or help with printing out our boarding passes.
It was hard to leave, and we will always return to Hotel Canada when we return to Rome!

Room Tip: The windows in this hotel are very sound-proofed, so every room is probably quiet, but we did have o...

Very Nice Hotel in a great location. Can walk to train station. Rooms are small but very nice with lots of charm. Great place for the cost. The breakfast was good and front desk was very helpful. There are lots of good places to eat in the area. I would stay there again for sure.

Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Breakfast was great, great selection. Nice afternoon hors d'oevres in cozy lobby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location was 5 minute walk from Termini train station and 2 minute walk to Metro stop. Most attractions were easily reached on foot or by Metro with a short walk thereafter. Highly recommend Rome Pass bought at tobacco shop nearby to save on having to stand in line at attractions and it also covers public transport.

Room Tip: Room facing main street was very quiet due to dual pane windows.

Stayed for 3 nights in mid July. This was one of our all time favourite hotel stays ever. The staff, fantastic breakfast and coffee (I am still dreaming about fig pizza pie), excellent location, and spacious, clean rooms with lots of character made this one a winner. We walked everywhere, only used metro once to get to Vatican and then made our way back on foot along the river and through winding streets. I would encourage people to explore Rome on foot, there are hidden treasures awaiting around every corner. We enjoyed a glass of Frascati wine or a cold beer upon our return along with complimentary yummy snacks every evening graciously served by Richard - the kindest, nicest man and bartender. And for only 100 Euros/night with breakfast, it is a steal! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: We had a courtyard facing room, as requested, and it was very quiet.
