In a good location near to Termini and within walking distance of main attractions. Hotel is small, boutique type property. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a deluxe room which was very spacious. Breakfast buffet pretty varied and good quality. Staff happy to make coffee to order such as cappuccino etc. The bar offers the best value in Rome - a small bottle of decent red wine for 3.50 Euros is unbeatable and free nibbles are available.

Only negatives were that the mattress and the pillows were very firm but this will probably suit some people, and as the hotel is siituated near to a major road, there was some noise from traffic if the window was left open at night.

Lots of decent restaurants nearby. We ate at Mamma Angelina a couple of times, which was just around the corner from the hotel and had a good menu/food.

Overall this is a good three star city hotel. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the quiet side of the hotel away from the main road.

We first stayed at this hotel because it is only about 3 blocks from the Termini train station, where we had to return a rental car. After driving to the hotel (doable with GPS, but not really recommended!) we ran inside to get help with the car return. The kind man at the front desk called and got specific directions. It turned out we had passed the drop-off point twice in heavy traffic and had not spotted it.
Once checked in, we loved the hotel. It was once a family home. The cozy lobby has mementos of the family, bookshelves with an honor library, and a very nice bar area where free snacks are served in the early evening.
Our standard room was fairly spacious. It was elegantly decorated with nice fabrics. All the ceilings are painted to resemble old frescoes. On a subsequent visit we were upgraded to a superior room, which we decided would be very good value for the extra space.) Bathrooms have huge old-fashioned tubs perfect for soaking at the end of a long day. Buffet breakfast is served in a sunny room which does fill up at peak times. However, we never had to wait more than a few minutes. The buffet is far beyond typical Continental fare, with lots of fruit, cheeses, meat, egg dishes, and tempting pastries. Free internet worked perfectly in the room. There is also a free computer to use in the lobby. The neighborhood feels perfectly safe at all hours. There are some nearby restaurants, including one with takeout pizza and calzone. We were able to either walk or take the Metro to all the sights we wanted to see. It would be possible to walk to the Termini station with light luggage and catch the direct train to the airport, but we did not try it. All in all, Hotel Canada is very convenient and quiet home base in the middle of the bustling city.

Only stayed one night but would recommend more. There is no fridge in the room but at 4pm the bar in the lobby opens and they have the cheapest drinks in Rome. Bottle of red wine 6 Euros and beer 2 euros. On top of that they supply you with plenty and free nibbles. The rooms are spacious with a decent size bathroom. It is about 10 minute walk to the main train station and the bus stop for the airport.

This is an excellent hotel near the 'Termini' in Rome. The room was very clean and confortable with a good sized bed and air conditioning. The breakfast was brilliant and there was a wide choice available. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and welcoming too. We managed to walk to all of the sights in Rome from the hotel (although we did have very tired feet by the end of our long weekend!) but the sightseeing buses go from near the Termini (as well as buses to the airports) so it a great location. We would definitely stay again if we come back to Rome.
